Subscription cut off date changed to the 25th

Hey Everyone, this note is about an update to subscription cut off dates:

From now on the cut off date for subscribing to the next month is going to shift from the first of each month to the 25th of the month previous. This means that instead of having until October 1st EOD to sign up for the zine, you will now have to sign up for it by September 25th EOD. THIS DOES NOT AFFECT CURRENT SUBSCRIBERS, IF YOU ARE ACTIVELY SUBSCRIBED YOU ARE ALREADY IN THE SYSTEM AND NOTHING CHANGES FOR YOU.

That’s all the crucial information: Cut off to get next months zine is the 25th of each month before! Thanks for reading, if you are curious why (you don’t need to be, but I like to be as transparent as I can) here’s some answers:

Why am I doing this? As the print run grows (1700 printed this time wow) the lead time required to get the zine printed, shipped, and delivered, within the month time frame becomes wider. In fact, due to the unexpected growth of the order size, this month printing took longer than usual and the originally promised shipping date of the 9th has been shifted to the 11th. That’s no good. I am taking active steps to try and create shorter delivery times for you all and appreciate your patience! The adjustment to a 25th subscription cutoff will allow the mailing list to be finalized earlier in the printing process, which will help streamline the packaging and delivering system. Additionally this new change will also help reduce waste. I have already been placing the order for the zines at around the 26th each month, which means that since the subscription cut off extends a full 6 days beyond the print order, I have had to guess the possible growth during that time, and always have left a larger margin for error so that I don’t run into a situation where more people subscribed than zines are printed. This means that there is leftover each month that does not need to exist. By having the final order size before putting in the print order I can minimize waste which is always good. Big fan of less waste. So, the new cut off date for subscribing is the 25th! If you have any questions about this, please let me know and I will be happy to answer them! Again, if you are already an active subscriber you do not need to worry about this, nothing changes you are already within the system, this only affects those who are considering signing up for the next edition.

Thanks so much!

Cheers

Jay

Hi, I just moved and would like to change delivery address how can I do that?

I love the idea of access to back issues. There's lasting value in physical products that can exchange hands 🤔

If it's not effort intensive, you could consider shipping back issues on an opt-in basis for late subscribers, or a higher tier (I would pay for this) to get a random back issue from the archives, while supplies last. I want old zines, you want to ship all your printed zines, win/win
