If you’re unaware, New Light is the name of the MMO D&Destiny campaign we run for patrons via Discord. June was a particularly packed month for us, with incredibly significant narrative developments our PCs will no doubt be feeling the effects of for years to come.
New Riis, a Vanguard-supported Eliksni settlement out in the Cosmodrome, continued to rapidly expand throughout June. Field Commander Bandit-3 commissioned several engineers from this faction to help the Vanguard build the very first drake tank, and they added +50 progress to the project. PCs may very well have a working tank by the end of July!
Several Guardians, of their own volition, decided to head out to the Tangled Shore to speak with Alexya, the ruler of the so-called Peace Zone. They wanted information on Calina, a Guardian who killed another Guardian in cold blood before going MIA. Alexya ended up dying and the Peace Zone was overthrown by pirates.
A sunsinger by the name of Dax ended up in the unique position of Eris Morn owing him a favor. He called in this favor to learn Hive magic, and through it, managed to kill Omnigul in her throne world and became the first broodweaver in our campaign.
Rohm-11, famous for being one of the Guardians who defeated Atheon in the Vault of Glass earlier this year, started a new weaponcrafting project he calls ‘Necrochasm.’ He says he’s fine, he says the weapon ‘hates’ the Hive and will help him and the City, but his friends grow more and more concerned with every ‘upgrade’ he completes. We’ve yet to see what the end result will be.
Malvocor received blueprints for customizable Ghost shells from the first Sunbreaker anyone’s seen in decades.

We’re bringing our players even more unique ways to develop their PC in the New Light campaign, coming to you in the form of Specialized Expressions. Unlike normal Expressions, these require you to accomplish a specific goal before you can begin advancing in them. For instance, to advance in the new SpecOp Expression, you’ll first need to either be invited by the Vanguard, or complete a patrol session with no more than 2 Guardian PCs (and no NPCs) on the team.
The only Specialized Expression available right now is SpecOp. Ace Pilot and Young Wolf will be released over the next two months, as they become relevant to the ongoing story.
Eris Morn’s preparations are complete, which means Guardians can now take on the Crota’s End raid. You'll need a fireteam of 6 Guardians to take on this mission. Like the Vault of Glass, you'll need to schedule two 6-hour sessions to take on the raid, but they don't have to be scheduled together. Here's how it'll work:
You will need at least one fireteam of 6 Guardians to take on this raid. These Guardians will enter the Hellmouth during a 6-hour session and take on the first challenge of the raid, Enter the Abyss.
If this fireteam completes Enter the Abyss, they will have a choice: either continue in the raid, or stay here and hold the gate.
Continue On: The fireteam schedules another 6-hour session and attempts to finish the raid themselves. The next fireteam who comes through the raid will need to complete Enter the Abyss all over again.
Hold the Gate: The PCs stay here and keep the door open. Different fireteams can proceed into the raid, skipping Enter the Abyss each time. The PCs stationed at the gate cannot be played until the raid is complete, or until they choose to vacate the door.
The reward for completing the raid is 100,000 gl, an Exquisite weapon from the Vanguard, and a unique Fine armor piece based on your superclass: Bone Circlet (Warlocks), Mark of the Pit (Titans), and Shroud of Flies (Hunters). While these armor pieces require a specific superclass, they don't require attunement.
Thanks to the efforts of crafter PCs, new exotics were added to the Known & Craftable Exotics list: Patience and Time (sniper rifle), energy shield surge (device), and Wanderer’s Rifle (pulse rifle).
A new blueprint, PR404–HF, is available for weaponsmiths to research.
Unarmored Ghost AC rules were changed from the PGB: you now can’t use your Ghost’s unarmored AC when it’s wearing a shell, even if the shell gives it a lower AC. You can find this in the SEG under PGB Changes.
Four new Ghost shell armor mods are now available for armorsmiths to learn. Also added the Create a Custom Ghost Shell DT activity.
The Wakening (nightfall story mission) is now available.

Weaponsmiths: clarified you can only add intrinsic perks to standard firearms. Unique firearms and exotics firearms can't have intrinsic perks added via your Expression rank 3 feature.
