First time I heard this song it reminded me of BobbyBrown my prerogative. It’s like 90s R&B and early 2000s pop had a baby and it ended up being this song lol. Also this performance of this song is so iconic and legendary that new groups perform this version w/ Jimin taking off the jacket since that isn’t part of the original choreo. Orange Jimin is legendary in army history lol.

If I remember correctly- RM wasn't there because he fell and hurt his ankle... or his knee, it was one of the two. But it prevented him from performing that day. So this was from the MBC music festival. So it was a special stage and BTS were performing one of Shinhwa's hits. Perfect Man. Shinhwa was formed by SM Entertainment, but seeing as SM puts groups on the back burners once popularity or interest declines... in 2011, after all 6 members contracts were up with SM in late 2010.... Shinhwa made their own company and managed themselves- since they were already doing pretty much that in 2007-2010 anyway... Shinhwa is still active and are the longest active Kpop group in history. BTS look up to them for this and other obvious reasons- like the members of Shinhwa being themselves for the most part even when on camera. I usually don't go into the negative sides of some companies, but I will say that not even SM and their crap could keep the members of Shinhwa from being as much themselves as they could be. And doing and saying what they wanted to say. Shinhwa was the very definition of what a group should and needed to be. The members genuinely care for one another and are close. It's something BTS has in common with them as well. I'm glad you got to react to this, and a huge thanks for checking out the original. I'm glad you did because Shinhwa makes some damn good music. Jimin's fancam went viral, it still pops up to this day. It was great, and all of them did so well. Thanks again for the drop 💜
