2022-01-11 19:33:32 +0000 UTCAs random as the whistle part may seem, lol, it’s actually very relevant to the NCT SMCU storyline! Before the Universe album dropped, NCT 2021 released 5 videos called YearDream. Stage 0, 3, 1, 2, and 4 (in that order). Very movie-esque quality to them, even though some were like 2 minutes long. The essence of the videos is that NCT as a whole is welcoming Shotaro and Sungchan to the group and showing them that they can somehow connect with one another through dreams, and they use those whistles as an induction to their sleep state/ call for the NCT members. I recommend you guys watching them, it’s like a short film, very beautifully shot, especially the whistle scene between Hendery and Jaemin in the Stage 3 vid. And the music score is 🤌🏼 There’s a running theory about Favorite and the use of the whistle and that the whole MV was a shared dream of 127, which is why they show them sleeping in the beginning and end.

It was originally supposed to be the debut song of NCTU in 2016…but they went with T7S instead. This song really is such a feel good happy song. I have been playing it non stop since release ❤️ Hoping for some NCT variety content this year and still can’t wait for the guide. Hope you all have a lovely week. I have been watching your videos this week because I was diagnosed with Covid on the 7th and I have been stuck on my room by myself since then 😩.
