Lost in You v0.2 progress update #4

As promised in yesterday's announcement post, here's another new progress update. To recap from yesterday, here's that summary again:

What's up, Sensei?

Everyone breaks down sometimes. Some people do it in isolation, and others find comfort in the arms of another. Which one will it be, Sensei?

V0.2 features a new event with everyone's favourite teacher at the centre of it. What does our protagonist do when he finds her crying in the staff room? And what is she so upset about? This new update will mark the start of your relationship's development.

Updated menus

I've gone ahead and made some changes to the character menus. You now have a preview of the character and for most of them, you can switch the outfit shown. More outfits will be added over time as they appear in the game. The menu also displays each character's height and birthday, in case that's something you care about. 🙂

Aside from the character menus getting a new look, there's also an entirely new menu that tracks your progress for the main story and each character as you unlock them:

What to expect next

I'm practically done writing the script for v0.2, so why 3 more weeks until you can play, you ask? There's more that goes into an update than simply writing events. Over the course of the next few weeks I'll be going through and balancing event requirements, fixing spelling errors, correcting dialogue, creating promo material etc. etc. Aside from that, since I've been working on this update practically non-stop since the release of v0.1, I'm giving myself some days off to relax a little before I have to deal with potential bug reports that'll pop up once I hit that release button.

Also... Android support. Yep, v0.2 will mark the start of official Android support for the game. Android builds will be distributed on https://liygame.com as well as the itch.io page and here on Patreon for subscriber releases. It's a footnote for now as I'm still working on making sure everything runs fine on mobile, but expect more details in the final progress update in another 2 weeks.
