April sketchbook

busy month- I did a semi-local fest 2 hrs away and then traveled to chicago for a huge con (c2e2) the following weekend. I'm tired. Here are the sketches and a commission from this month. I also finished 2 other commissions and sent them off without even documenting them o.o been a little stressed.

• sketches for a dragon type eevee- I wanted to add an epilogue to the reprint of Dark Night of the Umbreon... I didnt finish in time. Next reprint I will add it. i also included some sketches and notes for this epilogue with a nice Obstagoon drawing. What a sexy badger!

• flyer art- i gave away 150 of these at c2e2..I hope to find new readers to keep the interest alive until at least 2025...

A bit of diary is that I am big time living and learning about managing my time and putting things off. I hope there is still interest in the Pinky & Pepper by the time it is reprinted again. I'd like to be working on the next thing already. I've already started and abandoned a few smaller projects and later (SOON) this year after i send in final files for P&PF SP i hope to print a comp of some shorter comics and art to have at conventions in the meantime. I'm not financially smart, organized, or practiced, so I didn't realize until now that P&P sales are around 80% of my income. WELL... Hoping to make it to SPX but without my bestseller I'm a little scared...

Upcoming is a solo show at Crisis Club in Oakland in July! I'll be showing some of the bigger pieces I'm working on to add to Pinky & Pepper SP! And more! Exciting. I'll be doing some weekend popups there too, I wanna make some t-shirts!

I was very inspired by many hardworking artists at c2e2: old heads, new talent, and duds all seated in the same section. Humbling and inspiring lol! I'm kinda "anti-merch" but I think I'll get into some merch this year...

Question, should I format these posts differently ? Like having the images in line in this body of the post or uploading a pdf? what would be best for you?

Also, should I do autobio comics? I want to give to you patrons something exclusive. And the blog posts must be getting old for some. I enjoyed my hourly from Feb.. maybe I'll try for more of those.. never enough days/time/hours... but i could spend 2 days a month doing some. cuz WHY?? cuz i love this shit ha ha ha. I diary anyway?

Another thing I'd be into offering is exclusive flash sheets. sound off in the comments if thats something you'd be into. I feel like a poser because i'm not a tattooist myself but someone got my art tattooed again recently and it fired me up!

Thanks as always for your support! Despite my bitchy attitude, and curse of being a lazy bastard, I'm very grateful to be an artist. It's what I have to give, so I'll work hard to bring it more.
