FurCon art show pieces and blog post [NSFW]

Had an amazing time at FC this year; a HUGE thank you for anyone who supported me at my table on friday or at the art show!

Here's some art and highlights:

1. "Funny Tie Friday" [SOLD!] This toilet piece had been a sketch for a while, and finally came together the night before the show haha. I wanted to portray a voyeuristic office bathroom pissing scene with a trans guy. He is moving his tie away to show you his pussy, the clear focus of the art, but the title of the piece "Funny Tie Friday" brings the focus back to the gag of the tie- my thoughts here is that a guy with a pussy like yeah it's different for some but it's really more like the mundane novelty of getting to wear a silly tie to work haha. I didn't know what to put on the tie for a while but when I heard of Steamboat Willie entering public domain i thought it really sold the ratboy vibe lol. I wasn't actually gonna make him pissing originally but why not a little watersports for the fans! It worked- sold!

2. "Pinky's New Body" [SOLD!] I already posted this on ig, so maybe you saw it but I got some hilarious comments like "she got the FNAF surgery" and "you ain't fuck Pink you fucked the old body" LMAO!! I love it. This also existed as a sketch only for the longest (see next slide) and I think it came to me when I was wishing my doll was more pose-able and what an ideal Pinky doll would look like? Then came this post-op realness/Terminator/Fazbear/Finn the Human type vibe haha. Thinking about Pinky stumbling out of surgery before she should be checked out like glazed over on morphine ready to slay is so her lmao, I'm happy this piece sold <3

4. "Popstar" This piece is still available ! It's a small painting on a 5x7 cradled one inch deep wood panel and I'm asking $175 plus shipping or best offer. (eddyxatoms@gmail.com) My character Julian from Lambchop is popping off stroking a big ol strap just waiting for you to join him. I usually draw him with such an evil face, it's cute to see him look kinda fucked up and vulnerable, huh! I'm also in love with this ochre + purple combo with a little bit of gold shimmer. These complementary color schemes really thrill me, and the big dicks too of course.

Not pictured I also showed "I Want Rabies" as not for sale- and enjoyed a very thoughtful and complimentary critique from a fellow artist I admire. I feel really inspired to make more large work and seek gallery representation. I hope it works out for me, I think I'm starting to love painting more than comics. I'm behind in my comics work.  I love writing a lot. I want to do it all.

5.-8. two lovely furries who purchased my pieces at auction. "Pinky as Ophelia" is one of the last full spreads of P&P artwork I hadn't sold yet. Y'all I really stay selling shit. I wish I could keep it all sometimes lol. And my digital archiving is terrible. Hold on to my work ok! You keep me fed I'm very grateful. I will get better at documenting and archiving files I hope. The other big piece i sold was the big lamb piece which came to have the title "What the Queers are Doin to the Soil' after the Dead Milkmen song. I thought the vibe fit. Their music has inspired my humor for years lol. At this point I'm not really sure what this piece is about. It started as my imaginary rapture moment- if Jesus come back, what would we hope for? Blood that watered giant GMO vegetables? Blood that could be drilled as oil to fuel our war machines and crop dusters? Not me, but, I painted it!! The Lamb ended up having this really gay face with earrings and these joyful and exploited tears haha, and it started to take on new meanings and a really cheeky/Ironic vibe, a lot like the song "Stuart". Even God as a giant gay furry couldn't save us from capitalism lol... bleak but make it cute and slay I guess!!!

9. Art trade with Smoopa! I was inspired by their angular and trippy style and had a lot of fun making their badge. I'm kind of hella "over" the whole tribal tattoo squiggly jagged aesthetic personally but boy if it isn't fun to do. I was refreshed to see their more cubist take on it. I think I can still add elements of it to my art without it looking too overplayed either. I've always been a fan of fractal-ish organic shapes and tend to naturally follow the Turing Pattern when rendering as opposed to following any realistic logic behind lighting and shading though I'd like to get better at that. I love how this one came out and I'd like to draw more big cat characters.

10. Smoopa also did a performance piece as a panel with 5 other furries basically like rolling around ferally on the floor to NIN and Linkin Park remixes and shit. But it was actually hella relaxing and pretty and at some points even moving- each player had a spoken word piece that ranged from talking about getting dysphoria from their second life avatar to worrying your school is gonna be shot up as a teen. I did a live drawing of the performers and there it is pictured on top of the latex one of them wore.

11.-12. badge comms for my buddies Carpet & Noah. I did a lot this year and only opened badge comms for trades and friends. I love how these turned out, and you can spot my cameo under Carpet's big paw.

13. ME!! Nobody knows I'm a werewolf!! I was so anon on Saturday night suiting as PARTY WOLF!! I bought this suit third-hand for a great price and refurbished the eyes and teeth, plus made the outfit for a classic werewolf look. Did you see me on the dance floor?
