My recent writing efforts have been mostly directed towards the next chapters of The Lady wot Lunched and The Perfect Dress. But I wanted to share this little teaser pic from "The Challenger" (provisional title), an upcoming story of mine that got a good number of votes on my poll.

So here is the primary antagonist, Angelica "The Goddess" Clay, in a scene that will take place near the start of the story.

Looking a little plump for her moniker, you say? Nonsense. She's just had a lot to eat and drink today, that's all. Namely the "Guy Ritche" American Double Cheeseburger and a full basket of Phoenix Fries for dinner at Almost Famous in Liverpool, washed down with four (or was it five?) deliciously hoppy pints of Brooklyn lager, followed by countless cocktails, a large packet of cashew nuts and several more beers at the Hive nightclub, and not forgetting that 12" meat feast pizza from Botan Kebab House at the end of the night (buurp!).

And hey, it hasn't stopped her from seducing some poor sap into paying for the penthouse suite for her at the city's poshest hotel, where she now stands, ready to reward him with the night of his life. Let's just hope she doesn't fall into a food coma half way through; the lad might not be getting up for some time.
