I would like to speak a little about the current situation in the world and how this affects the development of the application.
Most people say they are not interested in politics. As long as politics is not interested in you.
Some programmers deliberately inject malicious code into open source packages. They call it a protest against the war, you can find out about this by entering the word "protestware" into a search engine.
This code is aimed at Russians and Belarusians.
But they do not think about the consequences, which can be dangerous for ordinary users around the world. In addition, it harms the very principle of open source.
I checked my application for packages with malicious code. Everything is fine. But I also used one of the "node-ipc" packages, which became a tool of political resistance. It's good that the community reacted quickly and all the malicious code was removed from the package.
And I was just lucky that I did not update this package when it had malicious code.
I'm glad that most people don't panic and think critically. They try to look at the situation more broadly, think about the causes and consequences.
