Part of Nene absolutely wants to be the favored child of that trash man, in spite of her anger towards him. That's why she's going after the family. They have what she always wanted and she probably views them as the reason he wasn't with her and her mom. His family is the thing standing in the way of the dream family her mom wanted. The moms on this show are so damn selfish. One lets pride keep her and her children miserable, while the other let her delusional idea of love torture her child. The fact that she repeatedly forced her child in front of a man who talked about her like she was something nasty stuck on the bottom of his shoe he was trying to get off. Just awful. Kawi is just broken. How many times this episode did he apologize to Rak for essentially being weak? I kept waiting for him to have his New Years Eve Times Square moment, but nope. That man is just teetering on a brink and there's a hospital roof close by. If he was actually physically abused by the father (because he's definitely been emotionally/psychologically abused) then the mother is even worse than I thought. To stay because of her pride is bad enough, but to overlook her son being abused? Jail.
