PLEASE READ: Apple iOS App ISSUE
Added 2024-10-06 20:46:44 +0000 UTCApple is requiring that Patreon use their in-app purchasing system and remove all other billing systems from the Patreon Apple/iOS app by November 2024 resulting in from 1 November, new memberships purchased in the Apple/iOS app will be subject to Apple's 30% App Store fee, in addition to anything bought in your Patreon shop (which is not applicable to my patreon as of right now).
Please Note: Apple’s fee will not impact your existing members
What does this mean going forward:
If you join or rejoin after leaving, from November 2024 and you use the Apple/iOS Patreon app to join, Apple will be charging you an additional minimum 30% plus taxes. This is an Apple charge, not a Patreon platform charge, and not a charge I personally add; it’s an Apple/iOS charge.
I advise that you do not use the Apple/iOS Patreon app to join/rejoin. Just open your browser and join Patreon from a browser or an Android app.
