Small report + Delay notice

Hey guys!

First off, I want to say that there will be a small delay on the update drop: we will most likely upload the build this weekend. It will be a shorter update, consisting of Nate’s first day. Jumping to another route after working on one for a year and a half is always a big whiplash for us… and the fact we haven’t written any Nate focused content in close to three years means there was a lot we needed to relearn about the fox before being able to put out something halfway decent.  As such, this will be a… “getting reacquainted” build. We have a solid route plan for Nate’s route, but we want to make sure everyone enjoys what we write! It doesn’t help Dzahn caught COVID again in April, and it put him down for a good two weeks. He’s still suffering from the post-COVID effects. Nasty bugger, this thing.

Art-wise, I didn’t do quite as much progress as I would have liked, though I’m almost 100% done with Nate’s full sprite rework, The fox is looking glorious, if I can toot my horn for a bit, and I’m very happy with how he came together… but that was the result of countless sketches and retries. Nate was one hard fox to nail down, and I’m glad I’m able to have him done.  I also wanted to do a small rework for some of the cast (mainly, height and anatomy adjustments, minor things), but this month for me was filled with medical-related issues and appointments. I had a (albeit minor) procedure done this week and got some clarification on some health issues that have been plaguing me for half a year now. Things are looking good, but I need to keep an eye on things, so they don’t get worse.

On the Homecoming side of things, we’ve been doing some steady progress on Kouya’s rewrite… alongside a killer surprise I think a lot of Kouya fans will absolutely adore. You’ll know it when you see it, hehe.

Anyway! You can expect the Santa Lucia update to drop this weekend, give or take a few days. We apologize again for the delay, but rest assured we are working hard still!
