November 2024 Progress Report

First off, happy Halloween! Dev whipped up a cute piece showing Russell and Soutarou swapping clothes for the holiday which I’m attaching to this post. He’s really proud of it and it’s given us some ideas for fun little pieces we can do in the future.
On a more serious note, we didn’t have a great month. Between sick parents, sick Dev, and my own mental health being in a constant regrettable freefall, I’m a bit humiliated at how little I managed to accomplish over October. Dev managed to finish all the sprites for Homecoming despite being sick, and I’ve been working on coding the Kyouji route ever since. I’m about half way through the route right now. I severely underestimated how much content was written for it. In relative terms, it’s about the equivalent of 5 or 6 Santa Lucia updates at once. It’s going to be worth the wait, but I can’t lie and say it hasn’t been a drain on me, especially since I know you’re all eagerly waiting for the conclusion to Carlos’s route. I’m really sorry, and I’m upset that I haven’t managed to get through this yet. I’ll understand if you don’t feel the monthly support is worth it anymore.
Just to make sure I’m not leaving this report so bare, I’ll share another theme I wrote for The Book of Annwyn. This one is going to be the party’s main theme, which is why it has quite the heroic sort of feel to it.

I’ll definitely have the Homecoming route done this month so I can return my focus to the things that make supporting this Patreon worth it.

2024-11-02 19:46:27 +0000 UTCI know you might not believe me much but don't be so harsh on yourself, we're here to support you guys on your journey towards things and if people didn't see this as being worth subbing to they wouldn't be subbed still and would have left ages ago. Things get difficult and I know everyone understands it, and unlike SOME people/projects, you're at least transparent about things and you give progress reports over the months and you even give us things like new tracks for upcoming projects and whatnot when you don't even have to do that. I know you probably already know how I feel since it's me of all people saying it, but the fact you still do so much for Homecoming despite how much of that game messed with you is extremely deserving of respect and I'm certainly not the only person who believes that! It's admirable and while I get that things may seem like you're letting people down, I promise you that in regards to both Homecoming as well as SL you are not at all! Things just take time, and life goes so fast as it is that the Kyouji stuff and the Carlos stuff will be here for us in the blink of an eye. I wish I knew how to phrase what I want to say better, but I'll be here for ages so I'll keep it simple and just say that we're here for you, and that we hope you'll be alright because what matters first is your guy's well-being over the things that you're making. Love you guys tons, and once again don't be so harsh on yourself Dzahn! You're a cool dude much less a cool content creator and your transparency and openess on your feelings for these things is appreciated deeply, and at the very least I know I'm not the only person here for the long haul. (PS: track is fucking fire as usual, I'm sorry I didn't hop onto that demo like I said I would for BoA, I'll get to it or likely the next WiP for sure!!)
