Hey everyone!
Sorry for the slightly late report. Had some things that needed to be settled before I felt comfortable writing this.
First off, I need to announce the retirement of our secondary musician and close friend, Lesli. You’ll probably recognize him more by his stage name of Hop-Skip and The Chewtoys. Due to big life changes, he made the tough decision several months ago to withdraw from making FVN music and social media altogether so he can focus on the upcoming birth of his child. Words can’t really state how proud we are of the work he’s accomplished not just for Stormsinger’s projects, but for the many other projects in the FVN space he’s worked with. We’re also extremely excited to see him enter a new chapter of his life, and we wish him the absolute best!
On the art side of things, Dev has been crunching like crazy working on sprites, mainly for the next build of Homecoming. His goal has been to get as many of the side characters done as possible, and he’s made very impressive progress on that front! The Kyouji route is going through the last stages of editing, and then it will pass to me for coding into the game. Coding can take a bit of time, so I’m not going to leave any hard dates, but we’re definitely aiming for an HC build drop sometime this month. He also finished Sierra’s sprite (two outfits), which I’m attaching a preview of to this post.
On my side, I’ve been revising my outline for Nate’s Act 3. I want to be able to hit the ground running on his route once Carlos is finished. I’ve also started to formally outline the days in Act 4. It’s hard to believe we’re this close to the final stretch.
I’ve also continued to compose more music for the RPG project. I’ve got a couple songs to share with you today which I’ll attach to this post. I’m thinking about putting together a test project both to brush up on my engine knowledge and to test out if the combat system I have in mind will work. I’ve been brainstorming ideas for a name, and the one that’s been sticking in my head a lot is “The Book of Annwyn”. It’s not set in stone for sure, but it’ll certainly be better than calling it “the RPG project” all the time, hehehe…
That should cover it for now. At any rate, you should expect a build for either Homecoming or Santa Lucia by the end of this month!
Cheers!
