2024-11-09 17:07:04 +0000 UTCThat was a lot of fun, thanks! First one was very easy for me as a Brit, but the second quiz was a bit more challenging. I'm from Leicester originally and that accent is very similar to those of nearby Nottingham and Derby. I've moved around a lot over the years and largely lost any distinctive accent, so no-one can tell where I'm from. I live in South Wales now and even there there a bunch of different accents.

2024-11-09 11:14:02 +0000 UTCWe can blame middle class, previously the Merchant class, Victorians for pronouncing the H at the beginning of a word, before everyone dropped them, an 'angover from Norman French. They also introduced RP. One only had to travel to the next village to hear a change in accent.

Two of the more distinctive accents you didn't cover were Belfast and Bristol. Might be worth revisiting at some point for your main YouTube channel? Thanks for the video as always! ๐
