When I was a young Brit, teams were made up of local players to a large degree but all were Brits, so it was understandable that local people supported the local teams. Many of the players were personal friends of local supporters. But then money came along, and now local teams have become about buying players from the whole world. The link to the local community is gone. So my interest in any of these sports disappeared. It is just about having the most money these days and the price of tickets to watch has increased incredibly. My perspective is that the whole family nature of professional sports has been lost and the fervent nature of many fans is totally out of hand. If a team loses violence can rapidly appears and in league finals or internation games there can be riots. This is not a characteristic of professional sports that has any place in my opinion.

When it comes to sports support - especially Football and Rugby - it has changed so much over the years. I happen to have moved to Canada - yes the reverse of Alanna - and here, of course it is Hockey.

I was brought up,in a family, of seven,in London,none of us have ever owned a car,or driven one,no need,just use public transport.The English abroad,so embarrassing,that’s why I travel to somewhere,to avoid.Eating on public transport,for me,is a no,yes,a packet of crisps,but a kebab,no.A Sunday lunch,in the pub,can’t beat it.Football is tribal,city vs city,it’s huge here.I agree with the national anthem,I prefer Jerusalem,our sense of humour,is one of our positives,litter is annoying,it’s the spitting that does me.The nhs,we are so lucky to have it,we should be proud to have it.Being a Londoner,I agree,that up north,they do tend to make you more welcome.I live,next to a school,sadly I’ve seen kids ages 6-12 vaping,& I think we have the healthiest weather,plus no earthquakes or tornadoes,loved the vid Alanna.

Baked beans,fo me,a must,with a breakfast,

I think there's more consequences for what you say now whereas perhaps before there wasn't. Only a few years ago I worked in an office that still swore at each other without going to the police, so not much that changed in that regard.

Valid points!

I agree about Greggs! It's fine and it works in a pinch, but much better stuff out there

Unpopular comments from a non-Brit: It wouldn’t be an English breakfast without some baked beans produced by an American company. Brown sauce is the best condiment ever. Of course a song about your monarchs is dull, the Windsors are descendants of the German house of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha and what could be more dull than Germans? Viewed from the outside the Brits are definitely funny, maybe not always voluntarily, but funny nonetheless. The thing about vaping that annoys me the most is that I realise how much of the air I breathe just came out of somebody else’s lungs when I see the clouds of vapour.

Great video, thanks! Agree with most of your thoughts on this one. Beans are a must for me for a full English. Not keen either on the grilled tomatoes that get served, but I do like fresh ripe tomatoes. I also dislike a lot of British drinking culture and have no time for eating is cheating. I guess my unpopular opinion is that Greggs is overrated. Sure, they have some OK items, but there are plenty of other bakeries that do the same things better and without the huge queues.

We Brits are a very opinionated nation, or were, nowadays we tend to keep them quiet unless on Social media. Opening one's mouth now one is likely to be accused of being racist, sexist, homophobic or transphobic, even all of them. Come back the days of being able to tell a colleague or subordinate they're a piece of shit and a lazy b**stard and they'll still buy one a pint are long gone. Now they go running to higher management or the Police to make a complaint. Even NCO's in the Armed Forces no longer shout at recruits. What is happening today?

Wotcha! How did I sleep? Fine, until 4am! Too much daylight! Anyway...Air Con? Totally agree. However it's not a British problem. Virtually the whole of northern Europe is the same! Baked Beans at brekky? Personally, I hate Tomatoes, eggs and beans on the same plate! Nice on their own but together? No thank you! Brown sauce is the work of Satan! Football is a religion in Europe. More so in the UK. You can change anything, but you keep your team for life! I've been supporting Crystal Palace since my dad took me to a game in 1956. (My brother was about to be born so he made himself scarce!) and I was hooked! British cheese is more versatile, but French cheese has so many different types of creamy cheese, it's fantastic! I had togive up my motorcycle 7 years ago, and I live in London (just!) and I miss it even now. getting around London is fine, but not so, unless I go to a big city.

Stuart Hamilton

British cheese is excellent!

Malcolm Ross

Beans are horrible, brown sauce is the only sauce needed. Agree about the tomatoes British cheese is better than French cheese for some purposes.
