Thank you so much for the book! I'm actually just working on a PO Box video, so that should be soon ☺️ Thanks so much!

I went for the "Jus-Rol Shortcrust Pastry Sheets" I didn't know that was Tesco own?

Adventures and Naps

It's a lot of mush, to be fair lol

Adventures and Naps

Yeah pretty successful! Just never want to do it again! lol

So many people seem to hate coconut?? Shocking. I don't mind it as long as it's not a Bounty 💀💀

Adventures and Naps

😂 Thanks John! Certainly worked out OK but definitely not for me!

Never had or heard of a Manchester Tart although I am sure she is lovely. Definitely not going to make one because of the coconut. Also not sure I want to know what a wet school dinner is either

I used to love my school dinners, proper comfort food with stodgy puddings. I never liked this though, it's full of coconut to start with. Your face said everything anyone needs to know about Manchester tart!

I thought you done a good job of it,looks nice, but I go by your judgement,it’s not nice.Im sure I must have had some at school,I know it’s rare, but I liked school dinners. So pleased that the tube vid,did extremely well,it was funny.

This nice video sure arrived at an opportune time for me. I'm visiting my in-laws, and luckily they are wonderful people, but they moved to a retirement community in Florida last year and it is catastrophically dull and boring here. I really appreciated being able to sit down and watch something fun and entertaining for a while. Thanks for the vid!

I've never heard of a Manchester Tart! I remember having Gypsy Tart at Primary School, but then my Dad parked me and my brother in Boarding school so meals were 3 challenges a day! That's lot of coconut! Give me Bakewell any day! Did you get the Whitstable Pearl book? I'd never heard of that either! I listened to it, plenty of Kentish mentions, but a bit predictable.

Yea! Just had a Saturday post delivery, not normal here but severe un-forecast snow delayed distribution so good old An Post arranged Saturday deliveries but not from local DO so mine wasn't in my mail box, the postie that delivered not having a key.

When using shop bought ready rolled short crust go for the branded rather than own brand as they can be overworked and stretched, overworking causes it to be very short and crumbly. Tip, place loose bottom tins on a baking tray.

We used to have Manchester Tart served in school when we were kids. I hated it lol. The texture of it did not agree with my mouth - but then it was the school dinner version!

I think I also recognise this from school dinners way back when; I'm sure I haven't had it since. Still a counts as a win even though you don't particularly like it yourself!
