2024-01-27 19:05:19 +0000 UTCHey Stuart! me too diagnosed type 2, 6/7 years ago, problem is as you know anything consisting of grains raises blood sugar! doesn't leave much of the tastiest stuff? cutting out 90% sugary things lowered my Hb a1c from 49 down to 34 !!! diabetic in remission Yay! took 2 years to accomplish plus lost around 4 stone, 56lbs! (Ken Berry is my mentor)

In fact, it happened to me just last week - so I GET that exactly! Also - as DennisMenace said - a small hole in the middle of the lids would possibly have vented them enough to have prevented the build-up of steam inside them - thus preventing them exploding! But hey - anyway! They look really good, Alanna! Well Done!

2024-01-27 13:06:51 +0000 UTCWhen I was diagnosed as diabetic, one of the things that was a "NO-NO" was the pork pie! It had to go, along with bread, rice, pasta and anything with added sugar. God! I miss 'em! Thanks for ruining my weekend! Just kidding! Denis beat me to it re the top vent, but in the overall scheme of things, who cares! The looked great! Also, exactly how long is a "Hot Minute"? Is it like my Nan used to say when I wanted something, like "Presently" or "In a while"? Keep it up!
