Sorry I'm late to this video - it's been a busy week or two. Hope the YouTube memberships do well for you! The couple of YT memberships I have are all for people that I also back on Patreon, but because of the fees, I stick to a low tier on the YT side. All the YT membership content appears in the Community tab but it's only visible to members at the relevant tier. There's also a section which highlights members' comments on a video but it's only in the Android app so far. The badges next to members' comments are a nice feature but nowhere near as flexible as Twitch. On the tier pricing, the YT prices include VAT and the Patreon ones don't. So, my £21.50 tier price here on Patreon (a hangover from when you converted from USD to GBP) hopefully gets you about £19.50-ish after fees and costs me £24.86 once the VAT is added on (because not all of the tier price is liable to VAT). A £22.99 tier price on YT would leave about £19.16 once the VAT was taken off (and I don't see any way to exempt any of the tier price from VAT) and then YT would take their 30% cut leaving you about £13.41

2023-11-18 12:39:35 +0000 UTCMay join the YT membership but don't usually do if I follow on Patreon unless it's only the 1.99 tier. Days are now rinse and repeat for me and running up to 4 days behind on YT videos as until the new battery arrives for this laptop I'm stuck in one place with it plugged in, cutting down viewing hours. Unplug it and it will shut down unless has been sleeping for at least 3 hours. At least I'm not now multi tasking watching both the TV and videos together in the evenings or whilst trying to eat dinner.
