Hey Patreon! πŸ‘‹ This week I got laser eye surgery... and survived!! Here's a look into what happened.

As I write this (Friday) I'm still trying to limit my time on the comptuer/my phone which seems to cause the most irritation. Hopefully that will improve soon!

Wow, 25 minutes! That would take a lot of calm patience... I'm thankful it was just 60 seconds an eye for me πŸ˜…

I was really pleased with the whole experience - happy that I went with them in the end πŸ™

Glad to hear the eye-lasering went well. Wishing you lots of lying on the couch watching movies sideways!

Seeing you without glasses is going to take time to get used to. I don't think that's something I would have done as got use to hiding behind my glasses for the past 40 years, more so when outside or in a club with UV lighting as they are reactions lenses. Not that I've been in a club for yonks now. Liable to pull a muscle trying to pull off a move and the drinks are too expensive. Glad it all went A OK.

Wow! What an eye-opener! (sorry!) This took me back to my cataract surgeries. You said you were "quite nervous." My god. I was bricking it the first time. It sounds like your surgery was a more "straightforward" as each of mine was about 25 minutes of no pain but it really was quite an ordeal! My brother had his laser surgery about 5 years ago. He's an artist. He found he had to get reading glasses for his work. He was a lot older than you and surgery has come on a lot in 5 years. I bought a pair of those M/C glasses in Las Vegas and they were super cool on my bike in the UK - until I dropped them and a bus killed them!!!

Alanna, Congratulations on your eye surgery. Your research into the procedure and the different clinics available really paid off. Sounds like you received the best possible care which can only lead to full success...

Glad it went well. You know you picked the right place when they have a fancy lilac door.... Can't wait for you to be able to do Kung-Fu Skydiving again....

Will

Thanks Alanna, delighted everything worked out okay and you are healthy and happy πŸ‘

I still have problems with the phone but everything else is getting better. Here's an episode of the Junkees podcast on one of your favorites https://omny.fm/shows/the-junkees/all-chips
