2023-07-29 16:59:13 +0000 UTCI think the people of Kent are absolutely chuffed as some Chuffs have been released onto the Kent Downs, the first time they flown above Kent in over 200 years as were persecuted to extinction. These ones were raised from eggs from central Europe and it is hoped they will nest and breed, they have a distinctive call and is where their name comes from. A member of the Crow family with red beaks and legs as adults. They form part of the Canterbury Coat of Arms. Slowly bit by bit our former native wildlife is being restored to former habitats.
