This month our book choice was The Beekeeper of Aleppo by Christy Lefteri.
I thought it was heartbreaking and beautiful! This is certainly different than the usual book I reach for and I'm really glad I read it. We hear a lot about immigrants on the news, but we don't often get to see their journey through their eyes.
Definitely a tough read (not in difficulty but in subject matter) but a great one nonetheless! Although sometimes it made it hard to reach for the book because I knew it was going to be depressing...
Did you read it this month? Let me know your thoughts (spoiler-free!)
