I thought it was heartbreaking and beautiful! This is certainly different than the usual book I reach for and I'm really glad I read it. We hear a lot about immigrants on the news, but we don't often get to see their journey through their eyes.
Definitely a tough read (not in difficulty but in subject matter) but a great one nonetheless! Although sometimes it made it hard to reach for the book because I knew it was going to be depressing...

I thought this was very good, as Alanna said, a heartbreaking story. Especially after following them on their journey with everything that they went through, finding out that they then had to go to Croydon.... My heart really went out to them...
