Hey Patreon! Happy Saturday! 👋

I'm actually back in England already but wanted to share a little bit more of Canada with you!

Having a fire in the backyard and roasting up some marshmallows was always a fun summertime tradition - it was pretty cool to be able to do it again!

Hope you like the video and have a great rest of your weekend!

We would untwist a wire clothes hanger and use ti for toasting the marshmallo ws. I liked mine a dark brown (which often was darker ;-D)

"Sexy Weetabix" now we know how to market graham crackers in the U.K.

My father was a welder so he made his own metal firepit out out scrap metal at the factory he worked at. It got a lot of use until the rust got it. If you watch Dylan Hollis on YouTube he has suggested using the Tesco malted milk biscuits as a substitute for graham crackers.

That's my firepit evening gone up in smoke, just looked out the window to a downpour. The pit has gotten a bit overgrown since last autumn with weeds growing through it, an old washing machine drum on three bricks. Doubles as a barbecue when hardwood burnt (courtesy of electric company after tree trimming) with an old wire fridge shelf as a grill, have to de-rust it though. Covered with a large steel Wok, a Paella pan as a dish one has a slow roaster. The make do and mend attitude lives on.

I saw that Selection brand and said 'Oh! She bought that stuff at Metro' 🤣 LCBO bag use is classic. That looked like it tasted like childhood. My friend was telling me he sometimes buys the large marshmallows (i don't know if I've ever seen them before) and then roasts them to where you can pull the outside layer off. He then flips the outside layer around so it is like a cup and then he pours a bit of Bailey's in it and then eats/drinks it. Sounds very messy but maybe good. 🍁🍫🔥

Smore is what Oliver Twist said isn’t it? “Please sir, can I have S’more?”

Jamie Smith

Lovely way to spend an evening. Definitely got fire-pit envy now!

Great video Alanna. Very jealous of your back garden with the pool and that great view!

Fantastic video, Alanna! I've been to Canada (BC) 3 times and I've never heard of these s'mores of which you speak! Unfortunately, I A) don't have a back yard and B) I'm a recovering diabetic, so stuff like that, while it sounds wonderful, it's no-no for me. I bet the weather is a bit of a shock coming back to UK. Yesterday, rained pretty much all day in my corner of Kent.

Smores were new to me so I had to learn some more 🙄: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/S%27more#:~:text=S'more%20is%20a%20contraction,the%20phrase%20%22some%20more%22. Mr Graham sounds a hoot: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graham_cracker

Looks like your sister knew what she talking about. I love your play-by-play call while the Butler enjoyed his first smores...🔥😋

Steve Mikre

Hi, Alanna, smores look delicious, I'm surprised they've not made it here. Glad you stayed healthy for the trip.

Stephen Parker

I always wonder what Graham crackers taste like as we haven't got them but surprisingly sexy weetabix helps 😆

Hope you had a nice time in Canada! I missed your streams so I’m excited for them to be back, I can’t watch tomorrow’s one because I’m seeing JID in Dublin tomorrow night, but see you on Wednesday!

“Like a sexy Weetabix” 😂 That’s a great description, too bad I hate Weetabix lol The closest thing to s’mores I’ve had is Goldfish s’mores, so not quite the same lol
