Hey Patreon!

This week I went to London for a second-opinion about getting laser eye surgery! Let's go!

I'm ~nearly~ recovered from the flu/Covid earlier this month. Honestly can't wait to just be normal again!! Hope you guys have a great rest of your weekend!

When one’s blood sugar is low, biscuits are like medicine to avoid a hypo (which are horrible).

Type 2 diabetic eating biscuits? What madness 🤷🏼‍♂️

The result of being virtually locked away for 2 years, all the other viruses are now having a field day. Just what happened back in the 17th. century when several Pacific Islands were discovered, the native populations were wiped out by European viruses, harmless or mild to us, they'd never encountered before. Another couple of years to build our immunities back up.

Cheers pal!! 🙏

Thanks so much Andrew! I think my next appointment with the surgeon requires more dilating drops 😩 but at least they seem to numb you eyes first 🤞

Thanks Tony! I take Vitamin D, C and Zinc each day, but there's definitely something going around!

Cheers Steve! Definitely feel better now, but now it's the Butler's turn to be sick! 😷

You sound much better, here's to being 100% soon!

Glad you are on the mend and I’m sure the better weather will make you feel better. I know, all too well, the effect of those dilating eye drops. I have type II diabetes, so I have to get my eyes checked once per year, and they put those drops in before they photograph the backs of the eye to check for any busted blood vessels etc. Not allowed to drive after having those and woe betide you if you forget your sunglasses for the walk home. Ouch. Sorry to hear the biscuit video didn’t go well. I loved it and it made me go and raid the cupboard for some biscuits. I found a packet of mini Jammy Dodgers which were lovely. I saw another YouTube Channel nicking your UK Crisps testing idea. These were Americans living in the UK. Looking forward to the next video - I really appreciate these Patreon only ones. Take Care xxx

Get some Sudocrem for those cold sores. It's an absolute miracle worker! I had one in the exact same spot on my mouth last week and it cleared up in three days!

Sorry to hear you've been sick again, I think you may need to increase your vitamin C and D intake. The C is easy, lots of fruit and green leafy veg or Brassicas (cabbage, sprouts or swede), even skin on Potatoes but not fried, Jersey Royal season is here soon. The D is harder as Wild Mushrooms (not indoor cultivated) are the only veg that has it in a useful amount, you can buy D enriched milk or ask your GP to prescribe a supplement, it's the only one they recommend taking in the UK. The other supplements can do more harm than good as can cause Kidney damage long term. Good gut health helps, 250ml of a live culture Yoghurt or Kefir daily and plenty of fibre. Spending time outdoors even on a cloudy day will boost the D from the sun, easier now the weather is warming. Get well soon. x

Having had cataract surgery in both eyes a couple of years ago (not at the same time!), I know precisely why you're mildly terrified(?) The op only takes about 25-30 minutes, but you're aware of things. It ain't nice! The biscuit video didn't do well? Sod 'em. Do what you feel you want to do, not what you think humanity wants! If you want to do a video on different road crossings in England (!) do it! You never know...Get back to full fitness before you go home.

Sounds like the London Optical Clinc is the clear winner. I'm surprised your YouTube biscuit taste test episode isn't doing well. It was a lot of fun to watch. Hopefully you'll be 100% non sick soon...
