April Book Club Review - I kind of hated it! lol

This had great reviews online and even won a few awards - plus I'd heard good things about Sally Rooney's other novels, so why not?
I really didn't like it... I still finished it, so I didn't loathe it. But I definitely didn't like it.
For a book about young people, they did not speak like young people!! Who talks about dating and finding love and then transitions into the collapse of the Bronze Age??? So confused. I hated the writing style and the dialogue.

I skipped this one. It was only available in Spanish from Audible, and by the time the English version was available, Alanna had put me off it... 😆 I got Thursday Murder Club book 3 instead.
