March Book Club REVIEW - Loved it!
Added 2023-03-30 18:00:01 +0000 UTCThis month I read The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and thought it was great! I can see why so many people have recommended it over the years.
I loved the idea, the writing was great and it went by so fast! I bet you could read this in an afternoon on a beach holiday somewhere... I also didn't guess "the twist" which is always nice.
Overall I really enjoyed it! It's a nice change when the protagonist is not really a good person.. but much more human.
If you read it (or listened to the audio book) let me know your thoughts!!

I'll admit, I struggled a bit with this one initially. I'm not interested in celebrities or Hollywood in general so when I started this, I was struggling to get invested in any of it, but as the story went on, it just got better and better. By about 1/3 of the way in, I was hooked. The "twist" although sudden, felt earned, I thought it had enough build up to not be an eye-roll moment. two little observations... 1. Is the author obsessed with boobs?? They seemed to mention Evelyn's A LOT.... 😆 2. Harry was the most unbelievable character... A Hollywood producer that's a decent human being.... As if. 😆
