Especially with smaller British apartments. A lot of people that I follow on social that have got it, the sense of smell and taste seems to come back relatively quickly.

Hope Lord Butler soon feels better my cough was still there after a month although nowhere near as bad, I never lost my sense of taste. Hope you stay well.

2021-09-04 13:30:06 +0000 UTCI hope the Butler recovers soon, the loss of taste and smell will last for months, it is a great excuse for having chilli and garlic breath as when mine was absent I went overboard with both of those, still couldn't taste them. It felt like sacrilege to drink a fine wine and not taste it so ended up drinking cheap plonk. Saved a bit of money though. Back to almost as before now, 9 months later. Being fully jabbed and having the antibodies from the infection, with a booster coming in October/November with the Flu jab, just praying it is the last I will see of Covid. Normal service soon to return for you both. Keep safe.

2021-09-04 09:39:19 +0000 UTCI had a COVID scare a couple of weeks ago. I had the typical cold symptoms, was eating some salt & vinegar crisps and as I was eating them my sense of taste just went. In 40yrs I have never lost my sense of taste or smell due to a cold or flu, naturally it happens during a pandemic where it's one of the main symptoms. Fortunately in my case I came back all clear. But yeah, fun times. 😐 Hope he gets better soon.
