Happy Saturday! Here's a behind-the-scenes look at what I've been up to in the last week - shockingly, it includes leaving the house!

Hope you guys have a great weekend and thanks again to everyone who's sent stuff to the PO Box!

Everything was so good, thanks so much for sending stuff!!

I thought Peter Cushing was Broadstairs but not a native of Kent. Anyway, they did a brilliant job on him in Rogue One, didn't they??? Loved him as van Helsing in the Bela Lugosi Dracula.

hey great video those dark chocolate bars look great. Sorry for so much stuff i never realised how much was actually there till you started to unbox lol. Ill cut back next time. Glad i couldn't fit the bread or crisps in now or it could have went on even longer haha. Hope you enjoy trying some new stuff tho

Brian

So much food!! 😂

Adventures and Naps

That's true! Probably just keep it in the UK for awhile.

Adventures and Naps

Has anybody mentioned Peter Cushing yet? Brian seems to have embraced the goodies avalanche I expected when you first let slip the Po Box. Excellent .

chris

These videos make me so hungry!!!

Brian do be dropping the big dollars. I understand the hesitancy about traveling. I'm considering a winter trip to the US but I'm not sure. You could do like some mini breaks to London or Manchester or Brighton.

no Scottish food feature is complete without square sausage and 'tatty' scones. I'm unsure if Scots still welcome the porridge association though: check out Samuel Johnson and his definition of oats.

Wow that is quite the haul. Sounds like over the last two weeks you have enough content for 3 or 4 videos lol

think I've bored Alanna with this point but Hever Castle and Chartwell (Churchill's old house) can both totally be done in one day. Only problem with Hever is that it is private property, so cannot be bundled in with National Trust/English Heritage membership.

I think the food poisoning is down to a local sewage overflow into the sea and will clean itself up in a few weeks, blame the water company. The 48hr purification of the oysters was obviously not long enough in this case, the purification sea water must have also been contaminated.

I think Greggs may sell Scotch Pies, they did a good few years ago also many bakers do. Don't forget to keep the gym membership up, you will need it with all that sugar and chocolate but at least dark chocolate with an high cocoa content is good for one, contains anti-oxidant's. I would love to send some Irish meat and Dairy products but customs would intercept and seize them since Brexit. Keeping them chilled is not a problem as I always keep the frozen gel packs that come with an online meat delivery from an online Pork butcher here (of German descendants, third generation) and the insulated cardboard box they come in. An Post do a next day GB delivery service for an exhorted price, similar to Royal Mail's tracked 24hr using them for final delivery.

Great video. I just realised Whitstable was my last day trip, all the way back in summer 2019, went there with a buddy, I agree there isn't a whole lot to do there, the fishing history is kinda interesting and we also had Fish 'n' Chips in the outdoor restaurant, it was very nice but the seagulls were starting to gather so we had to eat up pretty quick. 😂. Amazing PO box haul again. I think Brian may have started a tradition of sending "silly event" cards, great idea.

Will

Thanks Malcolm, Happy Saturday!

Cheers pal! I'll keep an eye out!

Adventures and Naps

This was great! I haven't heard anything about the package I sent to the PO box! It could be coming this week or next week! Hope you have a great weekend!

Brian's collection of goodies was amazing - I haven't had a Tunnock's Snowball since I was a kid!! Looking forward to more outside broadcasts Alanna, have a great week.

Malcolm Lawrence

Thank you so much!!

😂

Adventures and Naps

I keep meaning to try Hever Castle, that's a good shout!

Adventures and Naps

Hi, Alanna, great video, glad you received the chocolate and it didn't melt

Stephen Parker

All I can say Brian is how much sugar! !!!!!!

Mark Walsh

Overcast is the UK’s default weather setting 😂 so I wouldn’t worry about the video looking grey! Haven’t been to Whitstable in years, glad you guys had a good day… would definitely recommend Hever Castle for a day out but not sure if you can get the train there… Great video, lots of great treats to try, just don’t make yourself sick on sugar! 😂
