Added 2021-06-16 18:00:04 +0000 UTCFinally watched Nomadland after it won Best Picture at the Oscars. Oof. It's a rough watch and I certainly didn't feel that great watching it, but the movie is incredible. It really hit me harder than I was expecting. It's beautifully shot, incredible acting and a really interesting look at a life that was pushed on a lot of people after the recession.
While it's not pleasant to watch, I was certainly thinking about it days after seeing it. That's usually a good sign the film resonated with me in a way I wasn't originally expecting! But oof!
