My partner bought this one for me for Christmas - I really like David Wong books. Hopefully this one lives up to my favourites from him!
I know NOTHING about the plot but I like going into books knowing as little as possible. Fingers crossed this one turns out well! Happy reading, everyone!
(UPDATE: I'm a few chapters in and the book continues on with the same characters/location as the previous book, Futuristic Violence and Fancy Suits. However! You do not need to read the previous book to understand this one - they set it up assuming you haven't read the previous book.)

It is very David Wong – I think it would be weird to read something by him that wasn't like that, wasn't written in his post-Cracked style. Yeah, I saw it a year or two after it came out, not in the cinema. It's.. okay. Kind of all over the place, and there are some things it does pretty well and some quite badly. Wouldn't have thought it'd ruin the book for you (didn't for me – in fact I still prefer the JDATE books to the Zoey ones, so far), but I wouldn't exactly pressure you into seeing it either.

2021-02-02 19:59:34 +0000 UTCNice one! I'm a few chapters in so far - it's VERY David Wong lol John Dies at the End is probably one of my favourite books but I never saw the movie. Some people told me it was awful and I was afraid it would tarnish my thoughts on the book. Have you seen it?
