Have to say that the type of people and programs in this video are what made me start watching You Tube in the first place. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Gdd2x9AIJw you could watch this 8 out of 10 cats does countdown compilation, even if you don't do a reaction to it at least it will give you a laugh.

Arthur Gatward

The older woman on (Celebrity) Big Brother was Angie Bowie (David's ex). She was told off camera that Bowie had just died, told one of the other housemates "David's died", leading to the scene shown, where the other housemate thought she was referring to someone else in the house called David. "Iconic" in the sense of horribly awkward and unfortunate...

Martin Harlow

What about eating the weirdest food you can find in Kent?

Brett Carruthers

Never really seen any of the programs you featured as I don’t watch much TV, but as always your assessment was hilarious as usual. Stay safe.

Steve Hale

for the mad laughs - idiot abroad, pretty sure you've mentioned you've seen it. Canadian reacts to funny bald english man reacting to the world. You can use your insight of british culture to help the the poor north american viewers. eps on youtube

Grant Maclean

I like the idea of splitting it into categories and that way get enough material to maybe have a second go in a few months time if Alanna fancies it - there must be loads out there to choose from.

Malcolm Lawrence

All the ones where celebrities help kids cross the road look a lot less innocent these days too.

Dr Philip J Naylor

thanks Mr Sylvester, took awhile to pull together and totally biased to someone my age unfortunately. Also a bit of a politics bent which is also me all over!

David O

Decided to have it later. Mac and cheese for lunch though!

Matthew Sylvester

some of those were little short of bone chilling. 'Don't Die of Ignorance' and "come on Dave, just one more". I think they got dropped about ten years ago? They've made a bit of a comeback for COVID but deliver nothing like the sort of visceral wallop that the last generation did.

David O

They’re all good selections

Matthew Sylvester

Glad to hear you're getting back to normal. It's not the best selection, but there are some classics among these 70s public information films: https://youtu.be/KzXq-XLMIRc

May 1980: Iranian Embassy Siege from memory, this was broadcast as a newsflash and was the longest such interruption in British TV history: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_p4DmuGyehc&feature=youtu.be&t=46 1982 row with Mrs Thatcher Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher had ordered an attack an the Argentine cruiser 'General Belgrano' during the Falklands War. This resulted in the deaths of hundreds of Argentinian sailors. She then appeared on a TV show where an ordinary member of the public rang in and had an argument with her about it: https://youtu.be/3JZlP5qQVtE July 1985: Queen at Live Aid need I say more???? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-0ygW-B_gI 1989: Only Fools and Horses, Del Boy falls through the bar Sitcom. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63rcdLeXiU8 1990 Gazza's Tears England footballer Paul Gascoigne received a caution in England's World Cup semi-final with (West) Germany. This would have seen him suspended from the Final were England to progress. So he started crying in the middle of a football match in front of the World. https://youtu.be/eCjsBoJSs-E?t=175 May 1997: Michael Portillo loses seat Michael Portillo (him off the trains show) was a government minister previously tipped to be a future Prime Minister. But in the 1997 election, he didn't even win his seat! His Conservative government were thrashed. I think that this was broadcast at around 3am, which is about as late as anyone with a job fancies staying up for. The next day, the whole nation seemed to be asking each other "did you stay up for Portillo???" as the moment encapsulated a huge swing in power in UK politics. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVvWE6V9ulE September 1997: Princess Diana's funeral Truly weird sight of a couple of young boys walking down the streets, lined with hundreds of people, behind their Mum's coffin. It seemed incredibly cruel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2ICGs_XA5Q 2006, George Galloway on Celebrity Big Brother Former member of parliament George Galloway, pretends to be a cat, supping invisible milk from Rula Lenska's cupped hands on national television. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQA2X4yvK_g 2009: Susan Boyle audtion on 'Britain's Got Talent' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yE1Lxw5ZyXk June 2016: EU referendum: Sunderland result before the vote, polls suggested that the UK would be voting to Remain in the EU. But then, at just after midnight, the result from the Sunderland count totally threw these projections, a denouement, as the broadcasters and watching nation awakened to the fact that the polls were wrong and the result would likely be Leave. Just look at how animated Jeremy Vine gets! https://youtu.be/1TmUP1StPf0?t=8308 also, 2012 Olympics 'Super Saturday' also maybe... Judith Keppel wins on 'Millionaire', lesbian kiss on Brookside

Once in awhile I enjoy watching old clips of "Little Britain" with Matt Lucas and David Walliams. Have you ever seen the show?

Steve Mikre

David

As it is now spooky month 🎃 you should watch Charlie Brooker's Dead Set (Netflix), for a fun mix of Big Brother (UK) and zombies 👁️🧟, quite enjoyed Zomboat! too (ITV Player).

David Powell

I love the "what a sad little life Jane" vid so much!! I enjoyed the video! Hope you have a nice weekend!

Aaron Conway

Some of the people on British TV are the worse..I know better than you attitude..Like the new idear for the vid ..I will think about what you could react to..That about old TV adds .Like from the 70's 80's..

Mark Walsh

Now I’m seriously thinking about having a pork pie for an early lunch.

Matthew Sylvester

I saw your comment before watching the video. It's quite bad when you know it's Katie Hopkins from that description haha! I totally agree obviously.

Andy

Katie Hopkins - awful awful woman! ... & Despite being quite annoying, good on Gemma Collins for having a go at ice skating on tv. Also to be a contest on big brother uk, you normally have to be very irritating & controversial, that or completely bonkers lol Not a massive fan of reality tv & I’m sure there are better tv moments out there. You’d think cos the clips are short you wouldn’t get a strike, fingers crossed you’re in the clear 🤞🙂

Gem

Seriously, don't look up that woman. I'm not even going to type her name, she is a very loud obnoxious outspoken racist, bigoted individual, your brain will thank me later for not saying her name. She has/had a column in a national newspaper and the stuff that comes out her mouth is vile.

Sven Linton

Gemma Colins - Big Brother - Katie Hopkins - This Morning - Baned From Twitter and is not a very nice person (please have a bottle on vino / Vodka/ Cider whatever before you look her up and every time she says something rasicde or close to it take a sip) Jeremy Corbin - Election Night? That show on C4 when they all go around snoop in there house and give foood reviews and get pissed. (Yes come dine with me) Katie Hopkins - This Morning - Baned From Twitter and is not a very nice person. Again with India No Idea (was it a broken ankle) Big borther again at a guess. This Morning. Yeah are drink after an awards night.

Paul Brown

That woman is Katie Hopkins, she has made a career by being as nasty as possible to as many people as possible
