Only just caught up with the video Alanna, been to Deal and Dover. Lovely to see you streaming from familiar settings. My current read is Ant Middletons " Zero Negativity ",if I remember you saying Canada does`n`t make many good programmes, but one I am watching on Alibi is Coroner which I believe is set in Toronto.Enjoying that one.

Graham Lavers

Nothing wrong with the film. Smiley's People on BBC also very good.

David O

Sounds great! I'll need to re-apply for my visa in a few years, they don't make it easy. But that's an issue for future Alanna!

Adventures and Naps

I love a good crime drama, didn't realise that Iceland was good for those!

Adventures and Naps

OH my god, how do you lift such a book to read??

Adventures and Naps

Thank you!! Automatic cars are the way of the future!

Adventures and Naps

Ahh of course!! I remember hearing about that but haven't checked it out yet. Thanks for the reminder!!

Adventures and Naps

Not a landline, it was for the door! And it's actually broken, so it's useless!

Adventures and Naps

Thank you!! Haven't watched Brooklyn 99 in a long time, but that's a great one!

Adventures and Naps

Wooooo!!

Adventures and Naps

That's so true, thank you!

Adventures and Naps

Cheers Mark, thank you so much!

Adventures and Naps

Cheers Tom! I watched the first episode of Away and haven't gone back yet. Seemed good but for some reason I haven't made time for it!

Adventures and Naps

What's better than a fire in the fireplace and a good TV show/book/movie?? Sounds awesome!!

Adventures and Naps

I'll add it to my Spooky Month Movie List!

Adventures and Naps

It's great to see your optimistic outlook is back, and that's a good example for all of us out here too. I'm now reading "Fly Girls" about pioneering women pilots. Are you now in a safe visa status so you don't have any future worries?

William Seabrook

It's great that your optimistic spirit is back! That

A nice relaxed and chilled video to start your new spell back on the couch. A 70,000 video would be nice, maybe a look back to the start of A&N and a walk through the journey to here and now. As for what i am reading it is a lot of Icelandic crime drama because i love Iceland and they have a lot of really good writers. I have found a really good and fun You Tube channel called No More Jockeys. It's a 3 handed game played by Alex Horne, Tim Key and Mark Watson, very funny.

Adam Clark

Not my normal reading material, but right now I'm reading Brandon Sanderson's The Stormlight Archives books. Mainly because they are thick and take a while to get through. I'm in book two (it's ~1300 pages). Swords and sorcery isn't my usual, but it reads OK. Could be much shorter IMO, I'm wondering if he got paid by the word. 😂

The Raven

I’m guessing it’s a door entry phone rather than a landline

Andrew Thompson

I just want to say, " Welcome back home, Alanna, welcome back to the UK and driving on the right side of the road. That's a joke, the US and Canada drive on the right side of the road, we in the UK drive on the correct side of the road and look out for the roundabouts here! most of our cars have a gear lever, (or as the yanks say, stick shift). Having said that, I am a lazy UK driver and drive an automatic. Seriously, a very warm welcome back home to Kent girl.

Alunofwyndham

Hi David, yes I was talking about the movie with Gary Oldman.

Andy Mlynek

Because everyone needs another podcast in their life: The Office Ladies Podcast "The Office co-stars and best friends, Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey, are doing the ultimate The Office re-watch podcast for you. Each week, Jenna and Angela will break down an episode of The Office and give exclusive behind-the-scene stories that only two people who were there, can tell you."

Stephen Wardle

Note to Alanna: unless Andy above means the movie with Gary Oldman, the Alec Guiness TV series Tinker, Tailor... is often described as one of our best TV series ever.

David O

It's like sisterhood of the traveling pants but with books. You could try making your own candy for 70k. More importantly, you have a landline in your flat Alanna? What kind of millennial are you?

Brett Carruthers

It is! Check out what I created: https://youtu.be/jagT4d-BnFo

I am reading Girl, Woman, Other by Bernardine Evaristo. I made a rosé sauce last weekend so I have been eating that all week. I hadn't made a rosé sauce before and I think it turned out quite well. I am watching Brooklyn 99 on Netflix and also jail documentaries on YT. The Office (US)and The X-Files are also in my watch rotation. Have a good week getting onto UK time/schedule and making your way through all the foods and treats you have been without. Cheers!

jillian b

A 70K drunk cake vid would be awesome. Celebrate!

Andrew

Try again .Life is full of ups and downs..

Mark Walsh

David

Good to see you up beat.. Take care of the head after the drinks..Still so happy for you and The Butler. Life full of now and downs .You will read your journal in years to come and think did I imagine it all as it won't seem real.. 😀😀

Mark Walsh

I just finished watching 'Away' on Netflix which I thought was good.. I'm currently reading 'Foundational Falsehoods of Creationism' by Aron Ra which is good so far, but a little nerdy 🙈 can't remember the other questions now lmao

Tom Hardie

Morrisons brought them in after people who were isolating were finding it difficult to get delivery slots, etc... They have greatly expanded their range as for the first two months it was just the essentials box. You can't add items like you would from a home shopping website, but each box covers most of what people want or need. Many grocers started doing home delivery of locally grown fruit and veg by the box during the height of the pandemic.

Sven Linton

Well deserved 70k, not long until 100k 😁. I have one of the Google nests, I love it... Again welcome home 🏡 ❤️

Tom Hardie

Congrats on 70K :D Maybe main-channel Q&A or just trying a bunch of candy? I'm reading book 9 of Wheel of Time on my Kindle, watching Buffy and Angel AND the new Lovecraft series, and I have a fire going in the fireplace because autumn is real! Oh and I'm playing Stardew Valley, so calming! Eating - all sorts of soups and stews. And chocolate. Let's be real.

Maria G.

I’m liking it so far... it’s on PS store as a bundle with Beyond: Two Souls, only £11.19, can’t complain with that 😄

Gem

If anything, we'll have a 70K party on Twitch on Sunday! Hope you have a great weekend!

Adventures and Naps

Cheers Steve, have a great weekend!!

Adventures and Naps

Ahh Heavy Rain! I haven't played that either, let me know if it's any good!

Adventures and Naps

Thank you!!

Adventures and Naps

Thanks so much Malcolm!!

Adventures and Naps

Interesting, never heard of essential boxes before!! I hope the panic buying doesn't get too bad again.

Adventures and Naps

(I'm going to assume exercising outside is not allowed so I can stay on the couch lol)

Adventures and Naps

Thanks pal, hope you have a great weekend!!

Adventures and Naps

That sounds awesome! I think I like Animal Crossing a lot because it's mainly just creating and designing your own island :) It sounds like Lego Worlds is creative like that, too!

Adventures and Naps

Cheers Andy, thanks so much!!

Adventures and Naps

While in quarantine perhaps you can do a Spooky Month review for Patreon on the movie "Young Frankenstein"?

Steve Mikre

Very cool! I bought a capture card so I'm going to try out using that for the monthly Best Buds livestream and see how that goes!

Adventures and Naps

David

I forgot to say thank you to everyone for the warm welcome on Discord and Twitch! I had technical issues on Wednesday but hopefully they are sorted now! The community on A&N is a very friendly bunch 😁

Andy Mlynek

Hiya Alanna, great to see you back on the famous couch! Leeds has just gone into further restrictions so apart from work I'm going to be stuck inside again 😔 I just watched Tinker, Tailor, Soldier Spy and it was ok! Going to try the book despite my sister saying it was a hard read! I didn't like Ricky Gervais in the Office but in Extras he was hilarious and the celebrity special appearances are so funny, especially the one with Patrick Stewart 😂 I agree with the other comments that a travelling video would be fun and your cooking videos are always a winner! Take your time getting back to normal and look after yourself! Have a great weekend Alanna ☺

Andy Mlynek

Nice to see you settling back into your new UK routine! Although I’m an incredibly old geezer, Strangely enough I’ve got strongly into watching romcoms on Netflix lately! Anything with a romantic, happy ending! Reading-wise, I’d recommend “The Flat Share” by Beth O’Leary - although it’s like a written version of a romcom, I loved it so much I read it a second time very soon after finishing it! The tag-line is “Tiffy & Leon share a bed. Tiffy & Leon have never met...” I hope you’re intrigued enough by that to want to read it, cos I’d heartily recommend it! Game-wise, the creative side of me loves playing “Lego Worlds” on the PS4 - you can build ANYTHING you want - as well as perform tasks to earn gold bricks and fight the baddies... or just be creative with your structures! I’ve even made a couple of YouTube videos about buildings I’ve designed and made on there in virtual reality! It’s great fun!

Steven Parkes

I just started rewatching the US Office too (for like the 50th time lol)!! Really cool to see you back in England!! Hope you're doing good!!

Aaron Conway

I hated The Office but then I watched Extras and Afterlife and I changed my mind about Ricky Gervais.

Andy Mlynek

Nice one.

Sven Linton

I think during quarantine you are allowed outside of the bricks and mortar of your home but not in public, which means exercising in a garden/car park/grounds is cool. You may want to check that. Lovely friendly video and welcome back.

David O

Hi lass. Glad to hear your settling back in. If your having any difficulty getting stuff, sign up for home shopping, though some slots are getting booked up quickly, try Iceland, they do next day delivery and often have lots available plus Morrisons do 'essential boxes', which are boxes prepacked with essential items such as toilet rolls, pasta, sauces, milk, bacon, etc... but they have 'cupboard essentials', 'ultimate gin box', 'fruity favourites box', 'European wines', craft beer', 'big night in box', 'meat lover', 'family meat box', etc... they aren't delivered from store so there is little to no chance of the item it's to contain being out of stock and gets delivered by, I think it was, DHL. https://www.morrisons.com/food-boxes/how-it-works

Sven Linton

Good to see that you're acclimatising, and with your quarantine time it's also a pretty unique chance to chill your way back into UK life at your own pace - along with all of the right food/drink to ease the transition of course The idea to cover your travels back 'home' for a video sounds great, but I have to say even the hint of you doing some more cooking always gets my vote 👍

Malcolm Lawrence

Congratulations on 70k, and the world's most lackadaisical unboxing video! I'm watching "Occupied ", reading a graphic novel version of "The Ragged-Trousered Philanthropists ", and playing solitaire. The travelling video sounds like a great idea.

Dr Philip J Naylor

-I have so many shows to watch on my Netflix list, currently watching the 3%, 1st season was excellent, 2nd hasn’t been as good, have to see if it picks up. -I’ve counted 25 books in my room waiting to be read, just don’t have the motivation to start one at the moment. -I’m playing ac, practicing my rocket league skills 😋 & I just started Heavy Rain, never played it when it came out but it was cheap on PS store. Great video Alanna, I hope you finished all those ciders cos it would be a crime if you didn’t 😂

Gem

Excellent video as always, I should imagine everyone on Patreon appreciates you as much as you appreciate us, you always have a smile despite everything. I think a 70K video on YouTube would be great, perhaps another crazy cooking demo with a Q&A? I recommend if you’ve not watched it Riverdale on Netflix, it was apparently filmed in BC. Better go and do some guitar practice, take care and have a good weekend.

Steve Hale

I'm not a fan of Ricky Gervais at all. then I watched After Life. and not a fan of The Office. But After Life and the Oscars speech, I'm a fan of both. Defo need a 70K Party, You have the same ring doorbell as me. they are great. Is that drink more water aimed at me? I know I don't drink enough. I certainly know the pain of working from your bed. But that's another story for another day. I think to drink off the ciders on the 70K party. but blindfolded and try and guess which is which. My Netflix Watched and to Watch are here https://www.paulsthoughts.co.uk/
