Yeah, I've moved on from Paradise Lost.. maybe in another lifetime lol

Adventures and Naps

Bit late watching this video, better late than never though I guess, always love a rummage round a basement/garage type space 😁. I've recently tried reading Paradise Lost too, got to about paragraph 915 and I've not picked it up again for about 2 months 🤣

Tom Hardie

Very cool! My Grandma's friend carved that polar bear!

Adventures and Naps

Although I liked the cameras it was the polar bear next to them that caught my attention. On my one and only trip to Canada I naturally had to buy some souvenirs and bought a similar one to that in a big department store in Montreal (forget the name). I gave it to one of my nieces and haven't seen it since and she can't even remember it anymore so it clearly hit the mark with her!!

Malcolm Lawrence

Not a whiskey fan, but I enjoyed the rummage through the basement. That camera looks so cool 😍

David Powell

You too, we have a Bank Holiday tomorrow but these days who can tell the difference! Every day blends into the next, but your channels do cheer things up, you are alway cheerful and upbeat despite everything. Thank you Alanna.

Steve Hale

Thanks pal, have a great weekend!

Adventures and Naps

Miss do you mind if we look in your suitcase .So your travelling for work .So what's this a baseball bat a Blue chair a typewriter and a strange camera .So miss what did you say you do. That would go down well at customs. .lol

Mark Walsh

I thought the movie was disappointing but not horrible. Mainly a cynical attempt to get a franchise going

Matthew Sylvester

Hi Alanna, thanks for another great video. I have to agree with you about the whiskey, I’ve tried it and it’s very good. Take care.

Steve Hale

OH my goddd 😂 Gem you're like a long lost sister, I swear

Adventures and Naps

A+N: The Movie

Adventures and Naps

You're too kind, pal!!! Thank you!

Adventures and Naps

Cheers Andy!

Adventures and Naps

You're right! I usually just assume I'd have to shove it in my suitcase lol

Adventures and Naps

That's a great idea, thank you!

Adventures and Naps

I enjoyed the movie, I thought it was alright. I don't have a big attachment to the series though. I read the first book like 20 years ago and none of the others lol

Brett Carruthers

Wow, that's awesome!!

Adventures and Naps

Thanks Stephen!!

Adventures and Naps

Cheers pal, hope you're feeling OK! Maybe our dusty guitars can be friends lol

Adventures and Naps

Cheers Adam! 3 numbers for a phone number, my word lol Very cool, though!

Adventures and Naps

I haven't seen the Artemis Fowl stuff - I heard it was awful. Did you see it? I didn't want to taint my love for the book series lol

Adventures and Naps

Little Alanna the book nerd lol. The movie of The Girl with All the Gifts is really good. Have you seen the Artemis Fowl movie on Disney+?

Brett Carruthers

Well i don't like whisky and as for those cherries! If you like it though, then it is the perfect drink. That was a fascinating look inside your younger self and at some of the things that you hold close to you. My Dad had a couple of Box Brownie cameras, both of which he had used when he was younger. The old telephone brought back some memories and reminded me that the first phone number my parents had was just 3 numbers long! Not a weird video at all i thought, it was full of happy memories and past loves. Stay safe and happy.

Adam Clark

I can totally relate to the guitar thing lol, I begged my parents for a guitar and guitar lessons for ages, I finally got them and then realised that learning how to play the guitar was hard lol. Anywho, 7 years later I haven't took my guitar out of the attic in years and the only song I can play is the Simpsons theme (badly)😂. Great video, i have no idea how you made making a drink and then looking at old stuff in your basement hilarious but somehow you did it!! Your video really helped me feel better, so thank you so much, i really appreciate it!! Hope you and your family are doing good!!

Aaron Conway

Hi, Alanna, I enjoyed that. Drink looked good and the basement was fascinating. Looking forward to your next video soon.

Stephen Parker

I have Brownie Mk 2 (also made in Canada) inherited from a great aunt. You can still get film for them (no. 120) but you need to get a really slow one (50 ASA works fine) and you'll probably find that the window showing the exposure number will have faded and lets in too much light - but a couple of layers of red acetate stuck on the inside will fix that. The hardest parts are getting the exposure right (see online manuals) and finding somewhere to get the film developed. https://flic.kr/p/bWmFJG

I enjoyed your trip down memory lane. I love the rotary phone as well. Since you have many new Patreon members perhaps a "Assumptions about Alanna" video (Patreon Edition) would be fun. Thanks for making me laugh today...🇨🇦

Steve Mikre

So what's wrong with have a drink at that time ..As folks say it's 5 o'clock somewhere. .All your stuff could it be shipped by sea .That would alot cheaper. .I get heavy car parts form the states .Say 15 kg works out about 40/50 Quid..UPS FEDEX ..

Mark Walsh

Have you ever thought about being a tour guide? You have such a great storytelling personality! Have a wonderful weekend, maybe sitting in the garden with a whisky and reading a good book. Thanks for sharing another glimpse into Alanna's world😁

Andy Mlynek

OK, so a few things: 1. If you like that drink, then you are making it correctly. Don;t listen to the pedants or the haters. 2. The beer stein words are a German Drinking song, it means "Not a drop left in the beaker (stein) and the purse is slack and empty." You can hear the song here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7cu6Mc1kOk 3, How can you just poke around in the basement and it still be an enthralling video? I was glued to the screen, was engrossed in all the things you talked about, and was jealous of your basement storage. Thank you for the story time. Another great video Alanna, thank you. You are worth all of the good Whisky in Scotland.

Isleworth Times

Love the movie camera. You should grab some film and use it to make an A&N episode!

Matthew Sylvester

Omg... me & my brother had a mini competition to decipher the Artemis Foul code cos we were very cool 😎 I can’t remember who won but I’m gonna say me 😂 I always wanted a box camera & I have that Tigger somewhere lol... Great video, hope you’re doing okay
