All Dressed are the best!!

Adventures and Naps

Thank you for your collection of weird Canadian facts! Every country probably has some but your collection is really unique in the categories involved. Now I've got to find myself some dressed chips - I'll report back any success.

William Seabrook

I've heard good things about SM Odyssey, too!

Adventures and Naps

Fascinating facts Alanna. I have started playing Animal Crossing too and it so fun as I have just bought a Switch Lite but I am right into Super Mario Odyssey at the moment.

Lee Fergusson

Too true

Adventures and Naps

I did know! Once they had a big enough budget, they moved away.. a lot of shows seem to start here when they're young!

Adventures and Naps

Me neither!

Santa is Canadian according to Canada's Immigration Minister? I am surprised that this did not cause a mayor diplomatic incident with Finland...

Martin Dobler

At Australia post a person in the lost letter dept replies to the santa letters

Yum, yum, yum, All Dressed chips. I didn't know about Manitoba and the snake situation.

jillian b

Very interesting facts there, never would have guessed that Manitoba had so many snakes. Had seen some documentaries about Churchill, so had seen how many polar bears live there. Definitely hazardous for the residents. I really enjoyed visiting Quebec City, agree that it is much more like Europe in appearance than other parts of Canada. Love that there is an Apology law, very appropriate. Intrigued by the all-dressed chips; think I might have tried them, but can’t remember how they taste.

Shaun Garratt

when that started I was planning on coming on here and writing "did you know the X-Files was filmed in Canada?" then you started up about the X-Files and I thought "oh, she's got that, like I could tell her anything about Canada anyway" and then I went back and forth over the video and you didn't mention it, did you mean to? Anyway: the X-Files was filmed in Canada. Wikipedia says: "The first five seasons of The X-Files were filmed and produced in Vancouver".

Thanks for the video this week, especially since you’re not feeling inspired. I just bought a switch and animal crossing is high on my to buy list and I am very much older than you, it’s wasted on kids. Take care of yourself even if that means a week off videos.

Sarah Hogg

Loved this video,Loved learning all the interesting facts about canada. And stop being to hard on yourself. You do wonderful work all the time. I dont think any of us would be here if you didnt. :) If your competitive with yourself i have a "self competition" for you, challenge yourself for a week or two off. None of us would mind. It would make that next video you put out that much more exciting. Anyway i hope youre looking after yourself. Take care.

Fascinating facts there Alanna, I especially enjoyed the Apology act that shows how deep the Canadian Politeness vein runs! I think Lapland might Argue about Santa tho! I'm kinda glad I'm that I'm 3,500 mi from Manitoba as those Snakes and Polar Bears would give me a heart attack (Even Indiana Jones doesn't like Snakes!). Also one of My Lockdown distractions is rewatching The X Files on Blu ray (even Im not old enough to have seen the first couple of seasons on TV but I have seen them before, but got all 11 seasons for like £70 which is 😎). Anyway hope you Enjoyed the All Dressed and thanks as always!

Hi Alanna, excellent video as ever. I would never have guessed that Manitoba has the greatest density of snakes. That would be a great pub quiz question. You're probably correct in your assumption that Australia has the most venomous, on that basis may i assume that Canadian snakes are the most polite? πŸ˜‰ I don't think I'll be visiting Manitoba any time soon, i don't fancy being chased by a snake only to run into a hungry Polar Bear! I'm relieved i can hike in the Forrest in the UK and not be eaten. Thanks once again for the cheerful video, much needed at the moment. PS, So is the collective noun for a group of Canadians an apology? Sorry, I couldn't resist. 😝

Stephen Wadkin

In the UK, the Santa letters go to a Royal Mail office in Belfast (using postcode XM4 5HQ) and they send out a slightly personalised reply. When I used to work for Royal Mail, you would see a lot of Santa lists just scribbled on bits of paper. You would roll your eyes at the kids who wanted everything - "an Xbox, a Playstation, a new bike..."

Colin Barrow

Hi, Alanna, that was great fun. I'm sure when we get the first Adventures and Naps from space the Man in the Moon will be mowing his lawn when you record. I'm shocked you dont know where your Christmas letter goes, it goes to Santa of course, that's why he employs elves. I can understand you not feeling creative there is the stress of lockdown and your visa. I think you're coping remarkably well, another big cyber hug from us all. We are all clearing our diaries and all of us will be at Heathrow cheering and waving when you get back here. Video idea How about 10 things in the UK that annoyed me but now I miss or 10 differences between Ontario and Kent. Whatever it is we will enjoy it. Looking forward to your next video soon.

Stephen Parker

Of course we liked this video, this is why we come here, to listen/watch you ramble on about anything you want. It must be hard to constantly find content to film so on Patreon i hope you feel it is ok to just come on and chat with no pressure. Does it help if we all watch the adverts? Anyhoo, with all the dark stuff going on it is nice to see a smiling face,so go and enjoy your All-dressed and Animal Crossing and stay happy. Also, thank you.

Adam Clark

I would never have guessed that the snake and polar bear capitals of the world would be in the same place! Apparently in the UK apologies can not be taken as admission of guilt, but it isn't well defined. Scotland does has a formal act

Simon

Great video. I totally understand the non creative days. I get those as well. Don't be too hard on yourself. Your videos are like a friend coming round twice a week for a natter. So whatever you choose to talk about or do is fine. It certainly brightens up my day. Stay safe πŸ˜‰πŸ™πŸ˜Ž

Don Swanson

i thought that one of the weird facts would be that some Canadians think that they are more French than the French. Thanks for the always entertaining videos.

Arthur Gatward

I wonder if it's to early to write Santa? The world kinda needs a early Christmas...
