I screamed at my TV
Added 2020-05-27 18:00:03 +0000 UTCI had heard that First Reformed is really good so I finally got around to watching it (and convinced my mum to watch it with me).
Oh boy.
If you love arty movies, I think you'll really enjoy this. It's STRANGE and beautiful - the type of movie that tells a story with the camera angles and movements. Very slow. Very arty.
My poor mother doesn't like arty movies. Uh oh.
Without any spoilers, we literally SCREAMED at the TV when it was over. What a film.
A huge score of 93% from film critics, and a mere 68% from the rest of us - I think that just goes to show that a typical audience won't find much in this film, but if you like something arty, you might really enjoy this!
