"..oh."
"Yeah."
"So?"
Raven grit her teeth, causing her mirror to crack. "So, I need you to come over and help me out with putting them at ease."
"Don't you just meditate when this happens?"
"It's not working. Not anymore. Apparently, they've decided there are more enjoyable ways to calm themselves than mediation."
She heard an amused snort on the other side. "It's not funny, you idiot."
"No, it actually is. Alright, I'll be over soon. Just give me a moment to tell the old man I'm leaving."
"Do you really think you need to tell him? It's an in and out thing. Twenty minute adventure."
"Life's a lot different when you're a member of a magical justice league, Raven. I can't just leave anytime I feel like it. And do you really think we'll be done in twenty minutes?"
Raven blushed, blowing up the lights in her room and leaving her in the dark. "Just get here soon."
"Hehe, alright."
'I hate him so much sometimes.' Raven thought, hanging up the phone and conjuring a small light to read a book while she waited. Halfway through, her mind went back to her first time meeting Naruto.
g part demon himself, she felt a bit of a connection to him. Even though he refused to say who his demon parent was regardless of how much he was asked. It was what drew her to him in the first place. She remembered meeting him a few months after the events with her father. The disappearance of the gem got rid of her inner demon and signified her freedom from her father's influence but it didn't get rid of the split emotions.
With time, they grew even more unruly, especially without a demon to cow them to submission. Eventually, meditation wasn't as effective and she was forced to seek out another hopefully, effective method.
In the short period where the team split to see to their respective lives, Raven went on with her journey. That was what led her to Naruto, Dr Fate's twenty year old student who suffered from a similar problem but managed to save himself from insanity. That was good to hear but how he did it was another story.
Somehow, he'd been able to go into her mind and communicate with the rest of her emotions, coming to an agreement with them. Unfortunately, it involved letting them take over at intervals. She had little problems with it but she could do without feeling slothful for hours or punching the air till her arms hurt or soundproofing her room to engage in furious masturbation sessions.
It didn't help that passion had been the first to take over when the agreement had been made and she'd nearly jumped him. She'd left out of sheer embarrassment and didn't call him for a while. But he did.
And in time, they grew closer and he'd ended up assisting her in satisfying her more fleshly urges whenever they met or she called him. But they hadn't done anything in months and her emotions were starting to get restless again.
"Boo."
Raven jumped and sent an arcane blast at the laughing figure behind her only for him to cancel it out with a counter spell. A brighter ball of light appeared in front of him, giving her a good look at blond hair, white teeth and twinkling blue eyes.
"One day, Naruto. One day you'll prank the wrong person." Raven glared at him, feeling her emotions perk up at his name. Damnit people, try not to be so eager.
"It's not my fault you turned off the lights," Naruto defended himself. "You were begging to be scared."
"The lights blew up. Because of my emotions. Which you're here to help me with."
"You know, you can at least sound a bit excited about it," Naruto rolled his eyes. "I can hear the seven in your head bouncing around. Except rage. Hi, knowledge."
'Hello, Naruto.' Raven palmed her forehead when Naruto grinned at her. "Do I want to know how you can hear them?"
Naruto waved his arms, his fingers emitting sparkles into the air to spell 'magic'
Raven sighed again. "Whatever, let's just get this done."
Naruto raised an eyebrow. "Wow, no foreplay or dirty talk? It's like you've forgotten everything since the last time we met."
Raven blushed, refusing to meet him in the eyes. "It's just for relief this time." She muttered.
Naruto smirked at her, his eyes narrowing. Ah, he'd forgotten how attractive she looked when she got flustered.
"Now that won't do, Raven," Naruto tutted, shaking his head. "I had to spend a lot of time convincing the old man to give me tomorrow off. And I plan on spending it all with you."
Raven's eyes widened. "Wait, tomorrow?"
Naruto grinned at her. "That's right, we're going tonight and the whole of tomorrow."
Raven shook her head, remembering the state he left her in the previous times. "What if I'm needed?"
"They'll make do without you."
"Someone's going to come looking for me. They'll come knocking."
"Tell them you're busy."
"What if they barge in?"
"Then we'll give them a free show" Naruto gave her his brightest smile, getting her to blush again, willing her heart to slow down. When had he taken off his shirt?
