I can't give way too much context about what actually happens at the end of the books (though some OG followers may know cause... I'm bad at not spilling the beans AHAH), but Rick and Misha were not exactly in a great situation here. Specifically Misha, Rick was the ringleader so I'm not even gonna make excuses for his behavior

A part of the reason why Rick was a successful vigilante, or realistically just a successful criminal in general at times, is because he was one of the rare educated people there, with professional field knowledge. He had a master's degree in criminal psychology and spent way too much time studying the law and forensic sciences, and had the opportunity to not only be around it constantly during his police employment days, but also had the experience of working with the Underground, an organization that solely thrived because of their extremely well constructed network that had access to surgeons and forensic cleanups any smaller group would simply not be able to provide. Crime scene clean up, law and safety measures have been drilled into his head since his teen years, and it made him a valuable asset to many people on the sole basis of his connections and knowledge he possessed.

Misha was a driver. He was simply a poor kid who ended up involved with the Underground because of his equally unfortunate sister that met an extremely tragic end down there. He knew a lot about them because, much like Rick, he held a grudge, yet hardly acted much upon it. He investigated and existed quietly in the shadows, garnering info that can help him get justice for his family. But he was, at the end of the day, just a driver. He was in the dark about a lot of things and had no status in the inner hierarchy of the Underground to make any serious damage.

All that to say, Rick was very much the type of person to get irrationally angry at Misha for standing right where the security cameras can see him and thus "putting their mission in theoretical danger", even when neither of them should realistically give a fuck about any danger at all as, ultimately, it makes no difference whatsoever

Because Rick is, in fact, a giant nerd.

And nerds are gonna be nerds even when they are facing actual death and doom.
