They performed a bunch of songs from their new album and looked totally at ease — confident, in control, and clearly enjoying themselves. The transitions between songs weren’t always the smoothest, but the way they snapped into formation and hit every move the moment a song started showed how much they’d practiced. That precision more than made up for any in-between moments. They looked like they knew exactly who they were up there.
They performed a bunch of tracks from their new album, which I was really hoping for, and they sounded even better live than in the studio versions. There’s something about seeing them actually perform the songs — full-out choreo, live vocals, the way they interact with each other — that made it all click on a different level.
