I know we have so far to go before books are in hands and at gaming tables, but this is a huge milestone just to be launching this thing.
Matt and I had the idea for this book four years ago. In a fit of nostalgia, I dug up our first conversation about it:
We later had the idea to write the book of lists by creating a website where we published them as we wrote them. And then we integrated Patreon and started using the Patreon money to hire illustrators for the site.
Of course, a lot changed along the way. It doesn't have the form factor of a Moleskine. No custom dice. And instead of 20 lists, it's closer to 60. Not all D100. The devil's in the details.
But yeah, nearly FIVE YEARS LATER, the book is basically done and we're Kickstarting it and trying to raise $105k. Absolutely fucking wild.
