How to paint - Da Wiz’Ead

Legendary legends! Here is your video for painting Da Wiz’Ead. This video is a little different. I’m painting in a more grim dark, grungy style here, designed for painting an army. Get outside your comfort zone. If you guys have any questions or feedback, get your wiz-stick and hit me with it - right on the noggin. In other words, just ask. Mez.

PS; I am making a separate video of the wizrunts paint-up, in a separate YouTube video.

Wicked! Looking forward to next month already. Also gonna have to find someone with a printer so I can have a crack at this. Just have to content myself with trying some of these techniques on my Nurgle chappy.

Thanks for you feedback my friend! I'll take it all onboard. The metallic spatter was mostly there for the metal parts. The texturised metal was the most important part to me but I left it on the kin and clothes because I was designing this scheme to be quick, and I liked the shimmer it gave especially on the skin. In this paint up I wanted to be loose, experimental and just have fun.

great sculpt again but i would like to point some things that occured to me. 1- about the ork body, as a shaman / savage ork I am thinking of geting him some nice body tattoos or branding, specially on the back. although we have some nice muscles there I think something was missing. 2- some parts of the video seems a little far away, specially for my 50yeras old eyes LOL... maybe zooming a little more? I love to see the techniques and the way you paint so having a bigger image will help. 3- this stipling technique. I must confess that I was not expecting this for this model. Not in a negative way, no sir.but I was imagining a bright colorful effect on a wizhead :) 4- again on the stipling I didnt understand why use a metalic paint, does it work different from a white paint (thinking of the skin, not the metalic components of the mini) and about the skin texture what did you ained for ( as a reference or inspiration? ) I am really enjoying all the work done so far and I just cant wait to see more. Thanks mate!
