FREEBOOTER BOYZ, multipart set - February release #1

G’Day first mates,

I’d like to present you with the first major release for February! The hugely requested, multipart/multipose set; FREEBOOTER BOYZ.

You can load these boyz out with either ranged blastas, or if they need to get in close, give ‘em a pistol and a cutlas, or some other kind of smacking weapon. And because you’ll be needing loads of these boyz, the set comes with loads of parts so that you can make them all unique. Some legs even come with a spot for a pegged leg. There are a bunch of pegged legs to choose from, including a space rat with its own pegged leg! The set comes with a space rat dressed as a scrap parrot, because there needs to be one in every mob of pirate boyz.

No mob of pirate boyz is going anywhere without their katpin! The kaptin in this set has a big leather coat which makes him even more boss than usual. He can be built with a rippa klaw and pistol, or he can be a super special big bad kaptin boss armed with rippa blasta and ‘uge cutlas. He comes with a variety of heads plus an optional bosspole with a snotgob on lookout (are the lens caps on those binoculars?).

This massive set can make a huge amount of unique freebooter boyz armed with either melee or ranged weapons, including at least 9 boyz and 1 kaptin. All parts are interchangeable and posable. This set is even completely compatible with our mareen boyz multipart set.

This set is designed to be used in both your pirate orc armies, as well as regular orc armies. The set includes some elements from the classic pirate era of the 1700s (the odd pirate hat, pegged leg or hook), but this has been kept minimal and only to add flavour to the ragtag look of the set. These are space pirates! They plunder space in the 41st millennium. So, they have all kinds of sci-fi space scrap like bionics, helmets and tech they’ve found on their travels. They’ve been designed with as much character and personality as possible. One head is wearing two eye-patches, one has a bearded space rat clinging to his face, one has a wheel for a pegged leg, one is opening a bottle of fungi brew, one has a dredge helmet, one has one leg with one flipper and one has techno-shades. Their weapons are designed to look pirate-like yet fit in with regular orcs. The cutlasses are shards of metal bolted and welded together and the blastas have some inspiration from muskets, but with an orc shoota vibe. Enjoy looking through all the parts and finding the fun details that make this set so unique. 

This set will be added to February Legends’ MMF library. At the time of writing, it is just having the pre-supports finished up and as soon as it’s ready it will be automatically added to your library. The second major release for this month is the two dredge characters which are just around the corner.

One final note to all the new Legends. I just want to remind you guys that each month, there are at least two major releases. The first one usually drops in the middle of the month and the second one usually drops at the end of the month. Due to the size of this set, it’s a few days late this month. But you never have to worry, there has never been a month where your rewards weren’t delivered and there never will be. You’ll also notice I don’t make too many posts here during the month. That's because I am active every day on the Mezgike Discord. That’s where you will be able to chat with me and see teasers and updates throughout each month. I prefer orc freebooters to have more of a scifi space-pirate feel, rather than the 1700's costume look. So in this set there are definitely influences from that era such as the odd classic pirate hat, hook or pegged leg, but these elements are imbued with orcish space junk, bolts and scrap to make them feel like they belong in the grim dark scifi world we love. There are no muskets, but the guns have inspiration taken from them. Same thing with cutlass's, these are more like shards of chopping scrap welded and forged together in the rough shape of a cutlass. Just putting the finishing touches on this set, then it will be added to your MMF libraries!

Dredge sea grub carrier tank - January release #2

G'Day mates! Here we have the next release for January, the sea grub carrier tank. Now you can get your dredge marines into the thickest combat, quicker! This set is just having the pre-supports finished off, then it will be added to all Legend supporter's libraries. Let's have a look at this crawling monster.

This is the brother to the sea grub destroyer tank, and the sea grub hunter tank (coming soon). I wanted to keep the mutations to a minimum with this tank, as many of you will be using multiple of these in your dredge forces, but I've left a lot of the surface areas quite flat so you can customise and differentiate each one with the corals and critters set, or even some dredgelings etc.

There are three top hatches which can be customised. You can put a valve or a torch light in the centre of the hatch, or one of two gun types. There are four side panels to differentiate your tank as well, for armies with multiple carriers.

As an extra detail, you can open or close your rear door. Inside you can see a curtain of dredgy seaweed, ropes and chains. 

I hope you guys have enjoyed all the tanks for this month! Next month we have some of the mysterious dredge characters to buff your units! And for the greenskins, a massive multipart pirate boyz set is coming. These are compatible with the mareen boyz, and there will be plenty of pirate bits as well as some more standard orc bits, so they'll fit in with non-pirate armies if that's your thing.

Release 2 update, plus files updated!

Hi mates, just want to give you all a quick update. I want to show you a few WIP shots of the new Dredge tank coming up, the sea grub carrier. This still has some work to go, including more options, mutations and polish. I want to let you know that I am going away for a few days with my wife and kids, to have some precious family time. I'll be back on the 28th just in time to have this release finished up for you before the month ends.

SEA GRUB CARRIER

The design of this tank relates to the sea grub destroyer tank, and will also use the same hull structure as the future sea grub hunter tank. They're all brother tanks!

The rear ramp door can open and close! The interior will remain simple, as you won't see much inside but we'll make the entrance kind of shrouded with drooping seaweed, corals, chains etc.

There will be multiple options to customise your sea grub carrier, and most of the distinct details will be contained to those customisable areas, such as the various hatches. This means you will be able to make multiple tanks in your Dredge army, and they will all have different details.

UPGRADES FOR MTHULUS

Anyone who has Mthulus, check your folders because we've added some extra parts! Four new heads as well as a smoking turbines option.

Anyone who has the Meznobz multipart set, check your folders because we've added some extra parts! Six new killa saws. Go get em and chop stuff.

One more update we've done is to the runt tanks set. Turrets 1, 2 and 3 had an area on the bottom of the parts which was a bit thin. Sorry about that, it has been fixed and updated.

Runt tanks - January release #1

G’Day mates, welcome to 2024! Here’s the first release for the year, a super-customisable multipart set of runt tanks. These were so fun to design, and I’ve tried to put in a lot of character. I particularly like the hammer runt and the set of tracks that have marching runt feet. These will be added to Legend's MMF libraries. Take a look at some of the different options:

This is the month of tanks, as the second release for January will be a new Dredge tank, the sea grub carrier.

We also have a few extra bonuses this month, with some existing sets getting some updates. If you have purchased the Meznobs set and Mthulus, your files will be updated with 6 new killsaws for the Meznobs and 4 new head options and a smoking jump pack for Mthulus. These will be ready soon but for now I hope you guys enjoy your runt tanks!

Runt herder boss A - December release 2 of 2

G'Day mates, here we have the next release for December; the first of the runt herder bosses and he's having a bit of trouble controlling his runts!

You can build him with or without his runtz carrying out their mutiny.

There are 2 head options, a standard orc head and an IMPERIUL GITZ version. He is also compatible with all other resent Mezgike orc heads with the concave neck.

He's got a bit of a prospecktor vibe, as he collects all sort of gubbinz and junk from the battlefields. His grabba is particularly nasty, you wouldn't want to get caught in it! 

Runt herder boss A is currently with the pre-supports wizard and will be added to the MMF library of all December Legend subscribers. He should be ready in a day or two. Next month is the month of tanks! Multiple tanks will be released for the Dredge and for IMPERIUL GITZ /Orcs. 

Mthulus, prime lord of the dredge - December release 1 of 2

EDIT: This model is now ready to download, print and paint! Merry Dredgemas. 

This first release has been a huge undertaking and I'm sure you'll agree, worth the wait! Let me present the much anticipated Mthulus, prime lord of the dredge.

What a pleasure it's been to design this ancient warden of the deep. I wanted his armour to feel regal and gothic, so while keeping the same kind of tropes in other dredge armours, it was completely built from scratch. Being so massive, it allowed for rare details like skulls and arch ways, even scratches in the fingertips.

One of the main challenges I faced with Mthulus, was how to represent his ability to fly. The dredge are slow, relentless, looming from the depths. Flight has never been a major part of their vibe. However, Mthulusneeded to fly. And I didn’t want to go with classic demon wings. So, he’s got a legendary jump back powered with barnacle-pocked turbines. Exploding from the jump pack are huge, lugged tentacles which help build the silhouette of where giant demon wings would be.

Mthulus has an entourage of jabbering dredgelings.  One is riding a mutated crab, one is toting a rusted tide sword, and one is swinging from a chain, jiggling its shark tail and mine belly.

This model is absolutely huge. This is the centrepiece, the helm of your dredge army. Some parts have been designed to be hollow, not just hollowed with drain holes, but for example the torso is open at the back and the jump pack is open at the front. This is to make the model lighter on resin and not so top-heavy.

The second release for December is an orc runt herder, something much requested to keep an eye on all the cheeky runtz we’ve released lately! This hilarious model is almost done and will be ready soon after Xmas.

This set of 3 Dredge marine reinforcements are ready to be added to your Dredge marine force. It includes totally unique miniatures that have been designed to add variety to your units. You get one marine crouching with his rifle, analysing the battlefield. He has a cloak, and his rifle has a strap. Another marine is in a dynamic sprinting pose, with outstretched rifle and draped in rotten seaweed. The third marine heaves a giant sea cleaver, ready to slam it down on his helpless enemy.

I'm hard at work on the HUGE prime lord Mthulus. He's looking amazing and I think you guys will be really happy with him. Expecting to have him completed in around a week, we'll see. He has a lot of details. Enjoy your loyalty rewards and thanks so much for your continued support! Mez

Guard runts plus laser blaster effects - November release #2 and #3

G’Day mates, today we have the next two releases for November; Guard runts mob A, plus laser blaster effects. Legend tier members will find these in their MMF libraries now. Guard runt mob A is the next set for the IMPERIUL GITZklan. Guard runtz form large mobs, usually to clear mine fields or take out priority tanks, because the boyz find it hilarious.

This set has some characterful runtz for you to include in your orc armies. One runt is blasting a bug, truly believing he is doing his part in exterminating the aliens, one is shooting his blaster backwards to the horror of all da ladz in the back and one  runt caries either a banner or blasta pistol.

One has a blaster with a mouse trap as his trigger (a stroke of comedic genius by one of the meks), one is throwing his grenade pin (probably at a tank), one is cowering on the ground and one is shooting from behind a wall, with [optional] laser effects zapping from his blaster.

One runt is a special comms boss with a vox rat, shouting into the receiver, “which way do we shoot, boss”? There are some serious troop runts and one of them has a VERY rare and ancient melee weapon.

As a bonus this month, we’ve thrown in an extra release. A set of laser blaster effects, to use for any project you’re working on that requires laser, electric or magic-type effects. Stick ‘em in the muzzle of any scifi weapon or even out the hands of a wizard! These come on a sprue because they’re quite small and the sprue will help prevent you from losing them after printing.

Free tide lords 'tongue-face head' for all members + teasers

Hi mates, I just want to give every member on the Mezgike patreon a free option for your Dredge Tide Lords, though this will work with any marine miniature. The disgusting tongue face. A full upgrade kit for the Tide Lords is coming in the near future with more heads and torsos, but just felt like giving this one now to the whole Mezgike family now. Legend subscribers will find it in with the other tide lords folders in their MMF library. Everyone else can find it attached to this post below.

I've also got a sneaky teaser for you guys, the new IMPERIUL GITZ guardzruntz are almost done and will be live in a few days. Here's one guardzrunt who really believes he's ridding the world of alien scum.

Dredge marine tide lords (multipart set) - November release #1

G’Day mates, may I present the dredge marine tide lords multipart set. Legend tier members will find this glorious set in their MMF libraries.

Tide lords wear a modified version of the ancient ammonite pattern armour of their deep shroud brothers, designed to withstand the heaviest of front line warfare. Fully modular and customizable, tide lords can take an array of deadly ranged weaponry into battle, including dual rifle kombi-weapons.

These can be assembled on any arm, using an auto rifle base (right side), with any left side of your choice including a tide spitter, plasma, melt supplement, or any of five auto rifle supplements.

Tide lords can swap out their dual rifle weapons for heavy weapons like the tide spewer, torpedo launcher and the anti-troop auto blaster known as the sea dragon.

Tide lords are also equipped with barnacle blades, drill fists or the obliterating mine flail.

This set comes with some horrific head options, including the mako face, coral face, as well as some helmet options.

This multipart set allows you to make as many tide lords you need, as all parts are interchangeable! The set comes with 71 pre-supported parts, ready for 3d printing.

There will be an upgrade pack for the tide lords soon, which will include more head and breast plate options, as well as bits to make a dredge sorcerer.

Next up this month is the second release for IMPERIUL GITZ, the Guardzruntz mob. A mob or runtz, sneakily dressed as guard soldiers.

Also, a reminder that next month is the much-anticipated prime arch-demon, Mthulus. This model is huge!

Free model from Dark Gods + release update

The bubonic dredge caster (October release #2) - PLUS Hardcore Collab

G’Day mates,

Here we have the second release for the month; the bubonic dredge caster. This bloated psycho is the next lieutenant in the Dredge range. He marches towards the weak enemies of the Sunken One, as slithering hordes of rigwalkers squirm beneath his stride. He carries a tentacled plague-ridden staff and exhumes from it the deadly breath of Mthulus himself.

You can build this model with a few options. You can choose to include the magic effects in his crustaceous hand, or without magic effects. You can give him a bare head or a hooded head, with a cracked-open walrus helm as a further option.

The model has a tattered cloak, signifying the high status of this heroic villain. His powerpack is a knot of tangled plumbing and cables.

This model comes with a scenic base, filled with wriggling, writhing rigwalkers. Wherever the bubonic dredge caster goes, rigwalkers seem to follow.

I hope you love your new bubonic dredge caster! He is with our pre-support wizard and will be added to Legend subscriber libraries for October, as soon as he is ready (1-2 days). Next month we will see a multipart set of Dredge termies, as well as new runtz for the new IMPERIUL GITZ klan.

G’Day mates!

May I present the first Legend release for this month, ‘mareen boyz mob’ - a massive multipart set of boyz set in our new faction theme called IMPERIUL GITZ.

Who iz dem gitz?

Imperiul gitz is a new klan of orcs who reckon they're fooling everyone  by wearing disguises made to look like imperial sci-fi soldiers. The  bulk of this faction are made up of 'mareen boyz' which is exactly how  it sounds; boyz dressed as power-armoured humans. They've got trash cans  over their torsos, corrugated iron and rusted metal bolted together  into the shape of shoulderpads, and powerpacks that do absolutely  nothing except look the part. More is on the way for this new warband  including warbosses in terminaktor-armour, guardzruntz and more snotgobz  than anyone ever asked for.

Thank you for your patience with the wait for this Orktober release, I wanted to make the best orc set I have ever made. What I wanted to achieve with this set, is allow you to have complete freedom over posing your orc warriors, while having loads of character in each model. You have 10 leg sets and 10 torsos which you can twist and pivot at the hips, you can arm them however you want (with loads of chopping weapons, pistols and shoota-blastas), each pistol or melee weapon can go on any arm and twist at the wrist, each head is full of character, backpacks are customisable and there are optional shoulder pads and extra bits (including a sneaky sling-shotting snotgob) for extra personality. I hope you love these as much as I do and get excited for more IMPERIUL GITZ to come.

Orktober is coming up and Mezgike is going to deliver something cool for this celebration of green skinz. Been wanting to create a unique theme for orcs for a while now, that would allow you to collect a completely unique and thematic orc army (like you can for the Dredge). Starting in Orktober, you will be able to start this new orc faction! Don’t worry, they will also fit well into your current orc army too. You will see some teasers soon.

For the Dredge, the next releases are sorcerers/dredge casters, massive multipart terminators set, and the Primarch Mthulus – which will be absolutely epic!

Commander Thalpior, legion master of the dredge - September release #1

G'Day mates,

The moment we've all been waiting for, Commander Thalpior is finally here! He wears his ancient ammonite armour, bursting with dripping tentacles, splintered with coral stacks that plume toxic fogs and cloaked in festering rotten weeds. His trident scythe aches for the heads of anyone less enough to challenge him. It is known that the blade hunts for the head of its own primarch.

This is the first named character of the dredge. An imposing model, created for you to use as legion master of your dredge armies, or even in your non-dredge chaos armies. Legend subscribers will find him in their MMF libraries. I hope you love him.

There will be a text on Thalpior's lore, as well as the primarch himself, in a couple of days. You will learn the name of the primarch and how he came to be. The model for the primarch is also in design right now and scheduled for release in the coming months.

Next up for this month is for the orcs! Road boyz biker mob B. This will be completely compatible with mob A and there will be a couple of small changes based on your feedback, such as the legs not being attached to the seat, and even more gobbo craziness.

Badlandz bases set - August release 3

G’Day mates!

Here we have the 3rd release for August – Badlandz bases set! They will be in your MMF library, Legends. I designed these to include a highway road, with junk and scrap everywhere! Inspired by the kinds of settings you might see in Fallout, Book of Eli, Madmax etc. and ideal for any kind of wasteland army. These will be perfect for the coming wave of orc vehicles! I’m very excited about Orktober, there are some epic ‘vroom-vroom’ releases coming up.

The first release for September is probably one of my most epic releases for the Dredge – The first named character of the faction. You’ll get some teasers and find out more on him very soon. Corals and critters accessories pack A - August release 2 of 3

G’Day mates, here is the second release for August. Corals and critters accessories pack A. Find them in your MMF library, Legends!

This STL pack gives you a set of corals, creatures and seas shells which you can use for your miniature conversions, bases, dioramas or wargames terrain. For the corals, kelp and anemones, simply drill a small hole into any surface on your miniature and glue in place to give the piece an underwater reef vibe. The corals have been designed to be quite simple so as to paint easily, but if you want to go heavy on the underwater theme you can place loads of them all over your miniature to bring it to life! This pack also comes with a few sea creatures that you can use to add more underwater flavour. The shark carcass comes in two parts, allowing you to spread it out for ultimate gruesome effect, or place the two parts together. The shark will look great as terrain and can be enlarged for the perfect centrepiece on the table. Drill a bunch of holes in it and place corals all over it!

This is pack A. Pack B will be coming later on.

Just a heads up, if you have already downloaded the bases pack from yesterday, just redownload the supported folder, as the 32mm base #7 has been updated (it was a duplicate of #8). Also, not all base sizes have been included in the set yet, there are just so many different sizes! 28.5mm and 90mm round bases can be created from enlarging 25mm and 80mm bases, however I will add a 120mm oval and 130mm round base to the set in the near future.

Ocean rig sunken bases set - August release 1 of 3

G'Day mates, here is the first of three releases for August. Find it in your MMF library!

This STL pack gives you a complete set of highly detailed bases for your army, covering all sizes from 25mm to the massive 170mm oval base. The setting for these bases is a factory, rig, manufactorium, or under hive with a deep-sea theme. Set amongst rusted metal floors and crumbled concrete and detailed with drains, checker plate panels, industrial fans, pipes and plumbing, hatches and more, these bases are the perfect set for any wargames army. The industrial habitat of these bases has been overrun and corrupted with ocean elements such as barnacles, seaweed, slime, corals, tentacles, rigwalkers, creepy critters and even a shark swimming around. Even with this ocean theme, these bases have been designed to look good whether you want a heavy underwater vibe or a more standard factory setting, as they can be painted to look like any corrupted factory or oil rig. These bases are sunken, meaning that if you wish, you can fill them with water or slime effects creating real depth. This effect can look spectacular, especially on bases like the shark swimming around. However, if you don't want to use water effects and clear resin etc, these bases will look awesome painted as-is. These bases have been designed with plenty of flat surfaces, so that you will be able to place your miniature cleanly, with the feet finding flat contact points. Each base also include a hollowed spot for you to place your own magnets if you wish. These are full bases, not toppers (toppers were impossible since these bases are sunken/hollowed).

This set is made up of 38 bases, including:

• 10 x 25mm round bases
• 10 x 32mm round bases
• 5 x 40mm round bases
• 2 x 50mm round bases
• 2 x 60mm round bases
• 1 x 80mm round base
• 1 x 100mm round base
• 5 x 75mm oval bases
• 1 x 90mm oval base
• 1 x 170mm oval base

Road boy bikers mob A - late July release

G’Day mates!

If you were subscribed during July, you can now access your road boyz biker mob! Remember this is not an August release, it was from July, it just took ages to finish all the parts. I’m sorry about the delay my mates, but we would all much rather a set of miniatures that are perfected, than ones that are rushed. They’re now available on the Mezgike MMF or webstore and you can always use your subscriber discount. Note that there will also be a biker mobs B and C around the corner, which are fully compatible with this one.

Let’s have a quick chat. The massive releases from July have put current releases a bit behind schedule, and we want to get back on top. The goal is to get back to launching our first release at the beginning of each month, within the first couple of days. So for this month, we will have a complete Dredge-themed set of bases, as well as a conversion bits set (coral, sea critters etc) and a similar release for the orcs with a scrap-waste themed set of bases. This will allow you to give a lot of unique flavour to your armies and since their design time isn’t as huge as a massive multipart set, will give us time to get back on top. Beginning September, releases will be back on schedule.

In September, the very first named character of the Dredge will arrive. He will arrive early in the month and I’m very excited to finish this miniature and show you guys! The orcs will be getting more vehicles in September, either biker mob B or the first of the buggies (give me an idea of which you would like first in the comments).
