Mthulus, prime lord of the dredge - December release 1 of 2

This first release has been a huge undertaking and I'm sure you'll agree, worth the wait! Let me present the much anticipated Mthulus, prime lord of the dredge.
What a pleasure it's been to design this ancient warden of the deep. I wanted his armour to feel regal and gothic, so while keeping the same kind of tropes in other dredge armours, it was completely built from scratch. Being so massive, it allowed for rare details like skulls and arch ways, even scratches in the fingertips.
One of the main challenges I faced with Mthulus, was how to represent his ability to fly. The dredge are slow, relentless, looming from the depths. Flight has never been a major part of their vibe. However, Mthulusneeded to fly. And I didn’t want to go with classic demon wings. So, he’s got a legendary jump back powered with barnacle-pocked turbines. Exploding from the jump pack are huge, lugged tentacles which help build the silhouette of where giant demon wings would be.
Mthulus has an entourage of jabbering dredgelings. One is riding a mutated crab, one is toting a rusted tide sword, and one is swinging from a chain, jiggling its shark tail and mine belly.
This model is absolutely huge. This is the centrepiece, the helm of your dredge army. Some parts have been designed to be hollow, not just hollowed with drain holes, but for example the torso is open at the back and the jump pack is open at the front. This is to make the model lighter on resin and not so top-heavy.
The second release for December is an orc runt herder, something much requested to keep an eye on all the cheeky runtz we’ve released lately! This hilarious model is almost done and will be ready soon after Xmas.

The very fabric of reality bends to his will as he reshapes the forces of the sea and harnesses the energies of the Immaterium. His underwater stronghold, hidden beneath the roiling depths of an ocean planet, is a place of horrors. Here, Mthulus conducts wicked rituals, sacrificing the souls of his enemies to further fuel his insatiable lust for power. The echoes of tormented screams reverberate in the halls, a testament to the depths of his malevolence. The corruption he has wrought upon the waters is palpable, as the sea seethes with daemonic energy. The very waves pulse with dark power, churning with malevolent intent. Ships that dare to sail these tainted waters are quickly consumed by the ethereal tempest, their crews meeting a grim fate as they are dragged down into the abyss. Mthulus' grand design is one of conquest and domination. He seeks to spread his influence throughout the galaxy, extinguishing the light of hope and enslaving all who stand against him. His twisted legion marches forth, embarking on a campaign of terror and destruction, leaving no corner of the galaxy untouched by their malevolence. The very stars tremble at the approach of Mthulus and his dredge. With each victory, their power grows, their corruption insidious and all-consuming. The fate of the galaxy hangs in the balance as the forces of Chaos clash with the defenders of order and righteousness. Only the staunchest defenders of the Imperium, the Adeptus Astartes, stand as a bulwark against the encroaching darkness. They do battle with unwavering resolve, their bolters spewing righteous fury as they seek to banish Mthulus and his foul ilk back into the depths from which they came. But with each passing day, Mthulus grows stronger, his grasp on reality slipping further as he embraces the power of the Warp. The galaxy trembles, and the forces of Chaos revel in the impending doom. Will the defenders of the Imperium be able to withstand the ever-rising tide of Mthulus's malevolence, or will the galaxy be consumed by eternal despair?
