ROLLING
Added 2024-01-25 19:36:26 +0000 UTCHey, it’s been a while… I’ve got to get better at posting progress 😅
ANYWAY! I made some huge progress this week with the fully estimated hips/pelvis tracker.
I did a full rewrite of the logic, and now not only does it no longer weirdly follow your hands, it also allows you to roll around!
As you can see at the end of the video, I am VERY happy to have this done and working as well as it does.
(Keep in mind the legs are tracked by actual FBT trackers in the video, but the hips work EXACTLY the same with just regular estimated legs)
Till next time!!! *runs back into dev cave*

This is so exciting to see! I just recently ordered FBT but I love the concept of not needing to use all of the physical trackers every time I want high quality movement in vr; looks like v2.0 will make it so much less of a hassle getting in and out of vr for me!

2024-02-07 16:11:48 +0000 UTCI can't wait to see the implications FBE will have on IMU-based tracking like SlimeVR! I'm interested to see if I'll still have to use thigh trackers with my Slimes when 2.0 comes out 🤯

2024-01-27 08:24:41 +0000 UTCLike I said in the post, the legs ARE FBT, but the hips don’t and don’t use the feet to cheat. So the hips will be the same quality when fully estimated. I still have work to do on the legs (and thus why I was using real trackers) but I do believe I can get the legs to the same quality as I did the hips.
