Note on Tanahashi's retirement

In addition to those booked on the card, Fightful Select has learned that additional stars will be on hand to show their respect to Tanahashi as he retires. There is a ceremony planned that will likely integrate them
Based on what we've heard there will be legends, former opponents, Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay will be there. We'll get more details as the show gets closer this week.

2025-12-31 01:41:50 +0000 UTCTetsuya Naito although not currently under contract with New Japan I could see him being there having worked over 15 years in new Japan. Shibata started his career at the same time as Tanahashi.
