Nattie Neidhart has returned to TV, but not as the Natalya character we know.

Wresltevotes Radio on Fightful Select reported that the “Low Key Legend” character across multiple promotions caught the attention of upper management. The live and social media reaction was said to have been a big factor in Nattie bringing the character to WWE TV with the hope that she will be a more vital part of the show.

Sean Ross Sapp spoke directly with Nattie recently, who was very open about her pushing to portray the character. She took it upon herself to get booked outside of WWE to perform and try to prove what she could do.

Sources that Sapp spoke with said that initially, WWE wanted to continue with the Natayla presentation, but Nattie had pushed to change her character and to do it permanently. The decision was made to give Nattie time off TV to promote her book, and while Maxxine ascended to the IC Title. WWE also had been protective of her matches airing as Nattie, not allowing her NWA appearance to air.
