Update on Hiroshi Tanahashi's opponent reveal

Hiroshi Tanahashi’s retirement is upon us, as he’s set to end his 26-year career at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom on January 4. The subject of his opponent has been heavily speculated, and Fightful Select has learned more about the planned reveal.
As of November 6, the match wasn’t officially signed and delivered, but we’ve been told that the candidates are down to three possibilities. A decision will be revealed in the next week or so, and New Japan Pro Wrestling plans on conducting a press conference to announce their plans.
Fightful had reported that Shinsuke Nakamura was discussed internally, but was seen as a "pipe" dream. He's not expected to be the opponent. Fightful has mentioned numerous times that Kazuchika Okada and Kenny Omega have been considered as well.

I doubt Gedo is teasing Jay. Considering Gedo played a big factor in Jay getting kicked from Bullet club and was loyal to David Finlay the minute he jumped Jay and took over as leader and still is incredibly loyal to David and the War Dogs. Plus in kayfabe Jay is banned from NJPW and Japan.
