Do the AEW announcers have a contest going to see who can say “juji gatame” first on their broadcasts?
Yes, and then Excalibur definitely beats the breaks off of them for who can call a gamenguri the most. They do a lot of those in AEW.
With the Halloween season upon us who's whats your favorite scary movie?
By far, my favorite horror movie is Hush. Horror and thriller are my favorite genres and I'm very particular about my specific and ideal type. I don't like supernatural, ghosts, cult or ritual stuff. To me, it's overdone and lazy to just say "this guy is in a cult, that's why he's doing this." Also ghosts are weird, get out of my house man. I'm trying to watch football. I don't care that you got the plague in 1440. Go haunt someone else, bro. You're weird, I'm just here watching sports and taking shits, you won't be that entertained. Ghost movies suck.
Instead, I prefer horror movies more based in reality. I can enjoy ones that aren't (The Ring, Sinners, Strange Harvest), but that's what I prefer. I wanna believe it can happen to me. Not some ghost being a peeping tom trying to see my goodies. Get out of here, ghost.
First -- Hush is a Mike Flanagan film, and that dude is brilliant. It's about a deaf woman who is the victim of a home invasion. For years, it was available for free on Youtube because it wasn't distributed anywhere. You all should check it out.
Darby getting Mox to say I Quit using a Scorpion Death Lock reminded me of what you always say about Jake Roberts teaching people how to do his DDT so it becomes a real finisher. This wasn't just any Scorpion Death Lock, this was Sting's, which he taught to Darby, and that's why it worked on Moxley. Just wanted to shout you out for helping me understand the psychology a bit better there.
I appreciate that. We are in a world of wrestling where you're seeing things in the first five minutes of any given match that people didn't think was possible 30 years ago, I think it's important to show that the high spots and big moves from then still work. I wish a piledriver was a match ender, but people forget that in the early 1990s, it really wasn't often that it did then. It was the move being taken away for so long that made it special. Everyone can throw a good looking superkick now, so everyone does one. With the Scorpion Deathlock, we knew that was directly handed down from Sting, who won countless (I guess I could count them) World Titles with it.
