In this post we have backstage news from WWE Smackdown, as well as a ton of Wrestledream scoops and BETTING TIPS
WWE News
It was confirmed by Fightful Select that the injury Jacob Fatu was written off with is a dental injury that will keep him sidelined. He was telling people he wouldn't be back for at least a month. Bodyslam.net first reported
An Edge shirt popped up on Euro WWE Shop. That shirt has existed for years.
Sources told Fightful Select that Paul Heyman was backstage at WWE Smackdown despite not being on the show. This is not a rarity.
We're told that Triple H was also not at Smackdown, which also isn't necessarily a rarity. Bruce Prichard appeared to be running the show.
AEW WrestleDream
AEW Tailgate is added as a part of AEW's deal with WBD to reach their committed hours as a part of their deal.
There were plans for Andrade leading to AEW WrestleDream that were changed. It was implied to us that there were Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi plans as well, and even a potential Golden Lovers vs. Don Callis Family match of some sort.
Many of the sources in AEW and the agent world that we're speaking to are pointing a lot of blame specifically at AEW legal for not checking on the Andrade situation ahead of time.
Toni Storm and Kris Statlander were kept apart for a long time very intentionally, as Tony Khan saw it as a big eventual match.
Family members of Lou Thesz are slated to be at the show, as Tony Khan had indicated on the media call.
It was intimated that WrestleDream was also affected by Wardlow's injury. We aren't sure if this is where Wardlow would have competed against Hangman Page or for the world title, though.
Tony Khan's Jacksonville Jaguars play in London Sunday. Tony is not attending the game, as he won't have enough time to make it there following the scrum for Wrestledream.
Tony Khan specifically was happy with the viewership rebound under the new Nielsen model for Dynamite and the third hour this week.
A source backstage saw our post about The Hurt Syndicate being happy to work with the Demand, and said "They seem elated. They see a lot in GOA"
Syuri has a very interestingly placed weekend off tonight. We haven't heard specifically that she's Mercedes' challenger, but AEW was hoping to work with her more.
Although Samoa Joe has discussed retirement lately, AEW sources indicated that he's under contract until at least 2027.
There are a number of AEW wrestlers not booked for WrestleDream who are in town. Powerhouse Hobbs, Jeff Jarrett, Colt Cabana, Karen Jarrett are all there for the AdFreeShows Top Guy Weekend. David Crockett is in town as well.

Mercedes Mone's opponent is not listed internally.
Bryce Remsburg is set to ref the main event.
Hurt Syndicate and Demand were going over their match just before doors opened by the ring.

Comments
Darby needs to win this, but the Moxley character won’t quit. How does he get it done? We did the hanging finish already. My vote is for Darby to threaten Renee with a flamethrower to make Jon quit!
