Hi, can you please answer if Nikki Bella’s run is quietly done? Obviously I know the Liv injury changed a few things but it seems like the only creative pivot was Becky vs Nikki then everything went quiet. Not even rumored for SS?
I haven't heard that it's done. The last I'd heard she would be around here and there. However, I don't think there were any real plans for her in Australia so there wasn't a great need to have her around for the build to that. They expect Nikki to be on the show for a while from everything that I've heard. WWE also expected Trish to pop up more than she did this year.
Should we expect more releases after the NXT ones?
This specific round of cuts and releases are done. There are naturally going to be cuts to NXT, EVOLVE, LFG, and the WWE ID program just like there are for any sports team or league, especially when you're working through pipelines...to pipelines. WWE is still actively recruiting talent and that isn't going to change. But this specific group of releases is done.
What do you see Cena doing at survivor series?
I personally think him being a part of a major babyface team at War Games is ideal. He wasn't listed among the rumored names from Wrestling Observer, but to me it maximizes his use, and gets a lot of top talent to have some final moments with him. If Austin Theory is to be included as rumored....maybe that can help Deadpool 2 the situation that we saw unfold at WrestleMania a couple of years ago too. I would personally do John Cena, CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton vs. The Vision (before they split), Drew McIntyre and Brock Lesnar (if you've gotta use that guy). Literally all of your biggest names, and quite frankly, the most stacked Survivor Series team of all-time. Between Women's War Games and the rest of your roster, a five match show wouldn't be hard to fill out.
