Another set of TNA contracts could very well be up soon, unless something changes.
Matt and Jeff, The Hardy Boyz are having a career resurgence. They've become the TNA, NXT and HOG Tag Team Champions, and have a major match against the Dudley Boyz at TNA Bound For Glory. However, their contracts could be a couple of many coming up soon.
The Hardy Boyz re-signed with TNA in November 2024, and Fightful Select has confirmed those were one-year deals. Sources in the company have said that the deal has been mutually beneficial and a lot of positive has emerged from it. The Hardys have regularly stayed hours after TNA shows to fulfill heavily in-demand meet and greets.
TNA sources tell Fightful that their deals will be up next month unless an extension was quietly reached. The company does hope to retain them.
Speaking of TNA, sources in the company tell us that "no less than a dozen" contracts are up between now and the end of the year. We've already reported the Hardy Boyz, IInspiration, Cedric Alexander, among others. Many are expected to re-sign.
Other news!
Despite Raw, Smackdown and Crown Jewel all happening in Australia, WWE did not bring the entire roster over.
AJ Styles vs. John Cena got a standing ovation upon returning to the back after their match.
The claim internally was that AJ Styles did not know that the intro was coming. There are not expected to be any issues with the mentions of "Bullet Club."
We've confirmed that Santos Escobar was slated to appear at New York Comic Con before re-signing with WWE. There are other WWE talent attending.
We're told that Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins was always planned as the main event for WWE Crown Jewel.
TNA sources claimed there will be "additional surprises" in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet at Bound for Glory.
We were told that the releases in WWE developmental have effectively concluded. Cory Hays had the full list of releases, which included Wes Lee, BJ Ray and others. Fightful Select was able to confirm these names. The reason we were given was a natural progression of cycling out developmental talent. Overall, there were around a dozen cuts between contracts not being renewed, talent passing on deals, releases and the like. WWE is still actively recruiting talent.
WWE had a number of indie wrestlers at Crown Jewel as extras.
CM Punk attended Crown Jewel and watched AJ Styles vs. John Cena from the crowd.

hardys is more of a forced resurgence. no one is asking for them to be champions.

They’re mentioned stardom and njpw a lot and obviously tna. Also I think they’ve mentioned CMLL before they acquired AAA but now that might be a no no since the two companies are sworn enemies
